Oh. My. Dear. Lord. Mattie Jane's has the BEST cookies on planet earth! Listen guys, I'm a fat girl. I love cookies. I've tasted... SO many cookies in my 38 years. This place is utterly amazing! The ladies who worked there were super friendly and welcomingtoo. I have not had the privilege of eating anything other than their cookies, but I will be changing that very soon. Quaint, little eaterie with a story of strong women knitted into a short read on your menu. Food is all homemade, as well as... soups, salads and desserts. My two girlfriends and I met for lunch at noon on a Saturday. We ordered soup and salad: The chickentortilla soup was delicious as was our fresh, made-to-order spinach salad topped with cheese, tomatoes, REAL bacon crumbles anda boiled egg topped with homemade ranch dressing and bleu cheese crumbles! On the south side of the cafe you can browse or shopfor antiques and a variety of unique things you will love. This place is knock out good. We all got sandwiches, cookies and/or triple chocolate peanut butter brownies for a great price. ... The panini were all fantastic with great flavor, portion sizes, and toasted just right. The cookies were a great finish, justas good as the old owner of Harmony House's cookies. Highly suggested. (FYI, they share the same space with a flower shop sothe sign can be a bit hard to see at first) Read more
