Gave Damon's a try for my birthday last night. Was told an hour for wait but was seated in 30 minutes, so that was very nice. ... Server was quick to our table and attentive and friendly. Wish I had gotten his name. He took our drink orders, brought themto us, bread, apps, food, everything. I don't like when the only time you see your server is for order and check so this wasvery nice. I got the ribs and crab cake with a salad and baked potato. No complaints out of me, I have extremely highstandards for bbq because I smoke my own meats at home and these were some of the best restaurant ribs I've ever had. The crabcake was moist and flavorful. 5* for my meal. Wife got fried shrimp and rated it 5*. One child got chicken Alfredo and ratedit 3.5/5. Another child got chicken tenders and rated them 1.5/5. She said there was a lingering metallic taste which tells methe fryer oil was probably old/exhausted. Combined, it was a pretty good experience and I'm happy we ate there. Read more
Can't get better than a delicious meal and ocean front views! Me and my husband went here for my birthday and as always it was... amazing. Make sure you tell them it's your birthday and you want to get the 3 course meal that they offer. When I told ourwaitress it was my birthday she didn't mention anything about it but thankfully I knew of it. The pecan crusted chicken andsweet potato casserole was so amazing! Also I can never find any places who make steamed squash instead of fried and there's wasamazing. My husband got the chicken tenders which he said we're good also. Thankfully there wasn't a wait for dining inside, Ishould of asked for a table away from the doors though because the cold draft and wind wasn't the best. Overall another greatbirthday at Damon's. Amazing! My parents ordered the fried shrimp and the ribeye and they found everything delicious. I?m vegan so I had to ask a... lot of questions and our server was FABULOUS ? he had fun with my order and made me a custom salad and drink. It was deliciousand filling and the drink was STRONG! The views at Damon's are great. If you want an ocean view restaurant, it doesn't really get much better than this. The menu,... however, was nothing to write home about. Not a whole lot of choices if you don't eat meat, not even a veggie burger. Even thehouse salad has ham and bacon. With that being said, if you are into prime rib and burgers, this place would definitely be yourjam. Courtney was a really good server, so no complaints there. I'd probably even go back for the onion loaf and their sauce.And the pecan cheesecake can definitely get 5 stars. Read more
Wonderful selection and delicious food. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a flavorful meal without a large bill. Kids... meal was very affordable and delicious! I would definitely eat here if I came back to visit. The she crab soup was dynamite!Each bite was packed full of flavor and had a large amount of crab. The salad was plentiful and filled us up. Each bite wasfresh. My favorite thing was the sweet potatoes. Delightful surprise leaving you craving more! As you will see from the photos I uploaded, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit! I decided to take a trip to Myrtle... Beach, South Carolina for my birthday back in October 2021. While there, I decided to visit Damon's restaurant, because I hearda rumor from the locals that if one is celebrating a birthday, one is entitled to a free meal! In this instance, it was dinnerfor me. Boy was I surprised when I got there and learned that this was the truth! I really don't have to write a whole lotabout my experience because the photos will speak for themselves! I gave this restaurant five stars because like all of myfive-star reviews, this restaurant takes pride in the exterior and interior of its presentation. The full experience was worththe visit. If you've read any of my other reviews, you know how much of a stickler I am about the men's restrooms and thecleanliness surrounding them. From these photos, you'll see that this restaurant takes cleanliness very seriously! Consideringthe fact that I arrived around 8 p.m. on a week night, it was surprising to see that the restaurant was quite clean! I ordereda full rack of ribs that were incredibly, super duper soft and moist! I could not believe how delicious those ribs were! Fromwhat I understand, ribs are a specialty of this restaurant. That being said, they did not disappoint on that specialty at all.Additionally, I ordered a side of french fries, and a house salad was included with bits of bacon or ham or both? With thatsalad, I had a small cup of vinaigrette that had a wonderfully sweet and tangy flavor to it. Finally, they gave me a cupcake asa free gift for my birthday! This is a MUST eat restaurant in South Myrtle Beach! The server was very knowledgeable about the food and helped me find what I... was looking for to order. My chicken liver lunch special deserve 10+ stars! They spared no expense on the gravy and onions whichmade that meal so delicious ????. My kids enjoyed their burgers and fries. We were so full we ended up taking our bananapuddings home. What made this meal perfect was the oceanfront view. Read more
