Absolutely delightful. We had a couple of their signature drinks, appetizers, wine and seafood entrees. If the food could be... improved I cannot imagine how, it was outstanding. Kevin and Mike were both outstanding waiters during our time at S&P. They were attentive to our questions and knowledgeable... enough to answer with confidence. Trust their suggestions! They were more than willing to work with the kitchen staff to allowus to order lunch menu items during the dinner time hour. My wife and I both agreed that it was the best service that we haveexperienced in dining for a long while. We enjoyed the lobster fritters which were their special for an appetizer. Wow, theywere so delicious. I ordered the seafood rigate and she ordered the shrimp scampi risotto. Both were well worth the price: fullof seafood and more than enough flavor. The atmosphere was great and you couldn?t get any closer to the water. Fantastic view ina laid back environment. It was clear the restaurant was fully staffed and it shows through the employees. They were happy to beworking and did not appear to be rushing around. It created a perfect dining environment. If we?re ever back in CT, we willabsolutely be eating here again. Read more
I,while on vacation choose to visit a restaurant that is a bit more expensive than my usual. It is a treat as I work hard as a... NICU nurse. I chose S&P. You didn't let me down. Started with raw oysters, then seafood paella followed by bread pudding togo. I was in food heaven. Kyle my wait staffer was wonderful and attentive as was the woman, sorry bad at names, who tended mealso. Will highly recommend your establishment! Will come again for sure. This is the PERFECT place for lunch. My wife came here with friends about a year ago. We had a day off this week, so we went... for lunch. HIGH END TRAINED servers are all around to help, but you don't know they are there. The staff worked seamlessly andthe food was excellent! I ordered appetizers for my meal. You won't be disappointed! Wonderful dining experience with friendly knowledgeable servers, beautiful view of the Mystic River and superb food. We chose... the lobster fritters, seafood crepes and oysters on the half shell for appetizers. The blond oysters and seafood crepes wereworth a return trip and the fritters were also very good. My partner enjoyed the shrimp over risotto and the salmon over quinoarisotto with squash and kale tasted much better than I anticipated! The New York cheesecake was the genuine article served witha dollop of whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Absolutely lovely experience. Read more
My wife and I made reservations to eat at S&P Oyster for our Wedding Weekend. S&P did not disappoint. The food was delicious and... beautifully presented. The servers were attentive and kept our drinks filled while we dined outside next to the water withshimmering lights overhead. We will be returning to S&P should we visit Mystic again. Bravo! excellent dining experience, both indoor and outdoor. very nice view of the water from wherever you sit. nice variety of drinks... and the menu is a creative combo of foods, loved the oysters! ordered the local mystic oysters, super fresh! we also had thecalamari for our table which was delicious! the clam chowder was fantastic, and i think we will definitely be stopping by againnext time we?re in town! This was the first and casual visit to the restaurant with friends. Very good location. Good kitchen. Since we got to the... restaurant by accident, we did not know whether to book a table or go right away. There was a queue ahead. We asked to findout, but the girl on the balcony rudely cut us off and said - Get in line! She was three times younger than me and answeredvery rudely. In the photo, this girl, she does not know how to behave with customers. Train your staff. Read more
