I don't know where to START! The food was to die for. I'd drive 2 hours from my home in NY to get the HOMEMADE banana bread... french toast. The sausage gravy was exquisite. The home fries hit different. The staff is amazing, the atmosphere was perfectand the decor is stuck in the 70's, just where it belongs. AMAZING! They even have gluten-free and vegan options! Busy little place on the weekends in Olde Mystic. Food was good for diner type breakfast. Menu had the usual items. We really... enjoyed the pumpkin coffee- as well as the blueberry pancakes which were fresh and savory. Staff was friendly. I would go backif in town again. Read more

Amazing friendly service, great value and some wonderful menu items with a lot of customizability. Not a coffee expert but they... had a nice selection of blends you could choose from prebrewed. Read more

We love to try new places and going out to eat. First time here. I ordered the banana bread French toast with a side of bacon.... My husband ordered an omelette platter with a side of corn beef ash. It was delicious! The staff was welcoming. The owner was atthe register. Coffee was fresh! We will definitely be back. Read more

One of the best breakfast/lunch places in the Mystic area.....all dishes are delicious. Have never had a bad meal here. Food... is always fresh and excellent portions. Usually enough for a second meal.later on or the next day. Team is very friendly andhappy to offer suggestions when asked. Highly recommend for either breakfast or lunch. Read more

This was our second breakfast spot in CT. I don?t know if it?s because we?re accustomed to good/great breakfast in NYC from... corner stores & expect sit down spots to do a good job but this place was just disappointing. The waiting area inside smelledlike a boys locker room in the summer time with no ventilation. Possibly because it was a hallway attached to a dance studio. This made us almost not go for breakfast but we drove 25 mins & we could sit outside & wait. They need to work on that. Placehad a unique self serve coffee / tea area. Guess this helped the staff have more time to help patrons. Not a bad idea in theory.Area was a bit messy - some patrons left their stirring spoons & made a mess when pouring milk. Drinks: Me & my friend orderedthe fresh squeezed lemonade. The cup was stacked with ice & barely any juice. We figured out why. We asked for another cup & wastold we got the last two cups. They basically only had enough for one cup & made it work for two by stacking the cup with ice.Coffee was ok. Chai Tea was basically some sort of hot chocolate with hint of chai. Was weird when the waitress asked my SO ifshe wanted Whipped Cream on her Chai?! Food: Best thing was my custom order of Bacon Egg & Cheese. It was tasty but I?d hopethey wouldn?t mess that up. I also had the Thanksgiving Sandwich. This sounded amazing but was no where near that. It wasslathered in Mayo. The cranberry sauce was a circular cut out from the can. The ?stuffing? was this weird mushy flavorlessthing. The Turkey was ok. Lacked flavor. Their home fries was just bad. It had no flavor & was like a baked potato that got leftoutside. It wasn?t even warm when it came to the table & 3 of my friends had it. That was so disappointing. The omelet withAvocado was sad. It was weird my friend could literally open the omelet like a book. The avocado was not ripe so it was hard.Overall subpar food. Staff: They were nice enough. Nothing spectacular or nothing inherently bad. Just nor Read more

my wife and I loved it. the food was perfect breakfast fare and generous portions. our server was an efficient bubbly... attractive young lady with purple hair was slow enough that we didn't feel rushed and fast enough that we didn't feel ignored. The eggs were perfect and the sausage gravy was the best I've had since leaving Georgia. The sourdough bread was homemade anddelicious. I would give 6 stars if I could. Read more

Somewhere in Time has become my favorite breakfast/lunch place. I often go by myself with my book a few times a month, and I'm... never disappointed. Their specials board changes daily and is phenomenal. Very rarely do I order from the actual menu as theirspecials are always so good (the photos I included are from two different days, but are both daily specials). The staff is verypolite and attentive, and I really can't recommend this place enough. Definitely check it out. Read more
