Food is delicious. Been here twice now and it's consistently a great seafood place. Chowder isn't my favorite but it's very... tasty and the mussels and oysters are to die for!!! Highly recommend, can get really crowded so I recommend a reservation.Servers are polite and helpful. Read more

We were in Mystic on a leaf peeking vacation. It was really an excuse for me to eat fried clams with the bellies, scallops, and... lobster. Savannah has good seafood but it doesn?t have my favorites as noted above. The Mariner boasts about its lobster roll.It is very good. It is smaller than several I tried at your basic ?hole in the wall?, but it was fresh and tasty. There?s a goodmenu of seafood and land food. My husband can?t eat shellfish and there were many options for him to have fish well beyond theusual fish and chips. He had halibut. This too is a fish we don?t see often in Savannah. He said it was very good. The servicewas good and the restaurant was clean. The biggest issue was parking but that is a Mystic issue. Read more

Amazing experience at the Mariner. Our first time in Mystic Conneticut so we were eager to try out some seafood. This place... received great reviews and is conveniently located in this cute town. It was very hard deciding what to order as everythingsounded so good. But we finally settled on calamari, steamed myself mussels, scallops, and the famous lobster roll. Alldishes did not disappoint. The calamari was exquisite. Crunchy on the outside and the marinara sauce went perfectly. Themussels were too notch. It was made with garlic and butter sauce. A side of bread came with it as well and I'm so glad they gaveus some. Dipping it in the garlic butter sauce was amazingly good. The sauce was so good you could drink it. Next up was thelobster roll. Just the buttered bread alone that the lobster came in was so good. It was filled with plenty of lobster. I wish Ilived closer, I would be a regular for this sandwich. Lastly, the scallops were juicy and tender. The string beans were nice andbuttery along with the polenta. Overall, great place and I highly recommend. Parking was quite easy but I can see it beingquite difficult on the weekends. Read more

Stopped in for a lunch and to grab my first lobster roll! Wasn't sure what to expect but it exceeded any expectations! Lobster... was tender and buttery. Bread was sooo soft. Fries were good! Also came with some coleslaw. I also had a drink while there, Iforget the name but it was a hibiscus vodka and lemonade. Very tasty! So glad I was in the area to be able to stop in, wouldlove to go back and try other things if I ever go back to Mystic! Read more

Food was great! We had gone to another restaurant by reviews and honestly this one blew that one out of the water. Fun and... hardworking staff. Chelsea at the bar was the best. Happy hour deals are great and highly recommend the oysters and peel and eatshrimp. Drinks are well made. Will definitely go back and really happy we just strolled in. Read more

Food and service were EXCELLENT! Waitress was most attentive throughout the meal. Nice seat by a front window, but air... conditioning did not work well in this spot. Price of the famous lobster roll was high, but it was delicious. Read more

Probably the most underrated place in Mystic. Happy hour is incredible. I don?t even like peel and eat shrimp and I love them... here. Great draft selection and decent wines at a reasonable price. Service is attentive and super friendly. Read more
