Hidden gem of a restaurant that can be mistakenly overlooked - and don't! Likes: Variety of known standard dishes PLUS a few... things you may not have tried before (Squid Salad is my personal favorite), taste / flavors of food as expected (way better thanPeking in my opinion), portion size is generous, friendly staff Area of Opportunity: Speed of food preparation is a bit slow,as is the in-restaurant service/greeting and seating/take-away pickup, restaurant is clean as far as I could tell, but theinterior decor and aesthetic (if you can call it that) as well as service fixtures are worn, dated, and in need of some TLC,updating, and a fresh coat of paint. This place is the slowest moving place in all of Nacogdoches. I've watched people get up & leave their tables because they... weren't being helped. Especially if you work for Door Dash, this place is bad for business. They will hold you up for so long, you'll miss out on all the better dashes. There's no excuse for this. Place be EMPTY & you still can't get food in a timelymanner. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Read more

Very good Pad Thai and Lo Mein. We got the "house" versions that have chicken, beef, and shrimp. The California rolls were good,... too. Read more

Asian City Grill & Sushi This was my first visit to Asian City. And this will not be my last visit. The experience was all... positive. A friend and I visit a restaurant every Thursday to enjoy a good lunch and to spend time together. Both of us werehappy with the food, service, and the ambiance of the restaurant. My selection was the Kung Pao chicken. One of the best Asianmeals I have had in Nacogdoches. A bit of a kick in spicy flavors which satisfied my New Orleans’ taste buds. The lunch comeswith a soup or salad. My selection was the salad with Ranch dressing. Salad was served chilled and was satisfying. Also you mayselect Fried or Steamed rice delivered in a separate bowl. My Fried rice was prepared properly and I added Soy Sauce that madeit even better. Portions are generous and filling. My lunch partner had a Beef dish with an order of Egg Rolls. He was assatisfied as I was with the meal. The cost of the meal was very reasonable considering the flavor, amount, and addedselections. Cindy our server was attentive and the fact she was asking about a second glass of Iced Tea before I finished thefirst was nice. Always love a place where I don’t have to seek out the server for a refill. Since we meet to converse andhave a good time it was also a positive experience not having to compete with any TVs or loud music. Hoping a return visit willbe just as good and an opportunity to enjoy other delicacies on the menu. An enjoyable and filling lunch for under $10.00 is atreat anywhere. Took us long enough to find this place. Read more

Food was ok. Waitress' English was pretty poor so any special requests were a pain. The General Tso had very little flavor, I... was disappointed. Read more
