I don't think I have ever been more disappointed in a restaurant. Several members of our family were meeting in Nacogdoches for... Stephen F Austin State University's family weekend. Because of the size of our party (9) they could only seat us outside in the95 degree heat. Then we saw the prices. A cheeseburger and fries was $20. Then it took over an hour to bring out our food. Mymother-in-law, who was raised in post-war Italy and is usually adamantly opposed to wasting food could not bring herself to eather crepe. I honestly don't know how this place stays in business. 4.5 stars. One of the few open restaurants on a Monday. Had great dinner date vibes. We had the steak and salmon with great... vegetables (the mashed potatoes were amazing!!). Meals were high quality and tasty, maybe needing just an extra touch of salt. Read more
A friends son told us about this hidden gem in quaint Nacogdoches, Texas. It?s every bit of a secluded cottage setting with... amazing food and decedent wine. We tried several items, wanting to taste everything on the menu! Our server, Vance, wasfriendly, helpful and perfectly timed our food so we could enjoy everything and not get full quickly. My husband and I had a fantastic brunch at the wine bar on Sunday. We had fabulous service from all the waitstaff. The meals... were absolutely scrumptious, and the wine was excellent. The atmosphere and background music created a very relaxing vibe allaround. We will definitely be returning again soon! Read more
The Cottage is a wonderful, magical, dream like setting that also feels like being in a good friends backyard. We feel so... fortunate to have this gem of of place to go for a special dinner, celebration and nice, peaceful place to visit and chill withfriends. Owner Ben and his staff are all outstanding, warm and lovely people. You leave feeling better than when you came in.The wine menu is extensive and staff is knowledgeable about suggesting ones for different palates, etc. The menu is varied withmany different options for different kinds of eaters- amd always an exciting new dish from amazing Chef James! The BEST place I?ve been in a while!! Love the vibes, best food options, and wine is great! The staff was very kind and brought... our dachshund water too. Kind staff and very trendy atmosphere.
