Hi! I just wanted to take this time to PRAISE your waitress, Tristan (cute red head with glasses)! My boyfriend and I dined for... the first time on Friday (Sept.24) at 7:00pm and she was by far the best waitress I?ve ever encountered. She was very welcoming,joyful and had great recommendations for every section on the menu and surprised my self-proclaimed wine connoisseur of aboyfriend with an amazing red wine to accompany his barrel cut steak! She was the perfect amount of attentive without beingoverbearing as well as very accommodating to our weird/personal food requests. Besides the foot of course, Tristan is the solereason we will be returning to the Republic Steakhouse and look forward to seeing her again and dining with yourestablishment! The Republic Steakhouse is a GREAT place to eat in Nacogdoches. Nicest meal you can get in Nacogdoches, and the staff treats you... with personalized care. On top of the food, the staff was very sweet and made sure I was happy. I had the Lobster Bisque whichhad HUGE pieces of lobster throughout (and only $8), the filet with Au Gratin Potatoes that were both delicious and huge, andfinished it off with Bananas Fosters which was more of a pecan rum cake mixed with Bananas fosters but was still delicious. The wife and I went out on yet another outing. This time to our local steakhouse which neither of us have been to. It. Was.... Amazing! First off we had a wonderful server named Megan who was extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the menu. Westarted off with martinis which were really good and only needed one. I had the lobster bisque and she had the BLT chopped saladbefore ordering the 8oz filet and butter shrimp pasta. For the little town of Nacogdoches Tx we were very impressed. We had anice private table near the window. We really needed a romantic night out and this place really hit it out of the park. Read more
The whole experience was amazing!!! Jordon was our waiter and he took serving to a whole new level. He paced the meal so we... were able to dine in a very relaxing manner. The food was superb!! We made a reservation at 7:30 P.M. on July 16th, 2022. When we got there we were arranged to sit at a table close by to the bar.... We started off by drinking water. My brother tried the Manhattan, it had Vermouth, Bourbon and not sure what else, but when itcame in the glass it was literally smoking in the glass and came around $12-$13. I got the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp Appetizerwhich was $19, which came with around 5-6 shrimp garnished with 4 pieces of garlic bread. The sauce the shrimp and garlic breadwere put in had some kind of wine that really accentuated the flavor of the shrimp. It paired quite nicely. My brother got theLobster Bisque and it was definitely worth the price for it. It would probably be nice to go back just to enjoy the soup to behonest. We then had a main course of 8 oz Center Steak Filets that came at around $48 each; I got it medium well, and my brothergot it medium, and it was one of the tenderest steaks I've ever tried in my life. Finally to finish off, even though we stayed alittle past closing time, we ate a Luxardo Cheesecake that was very well presented. My brother and I enjoyed every minute of it.The atmosphere of the place wafted with the hints of classy jazz you could take a special someone to. A great place to talkbusiness, for a 3rd date (to take it up a notch), or to get your wife in the mood. Our waitress was wonderful, had an excitingand positive vibe, and knew what she was doing. Because my brother and I work a lot, it is very hard for us to find time forvacations (he has PTO and I don't), so we felt this was the best way to spend our time this year for the summer. It isdefinitely a beautiful experience and hopefully I get to enjoy something similar to it again before I meet my heavenly maker.
