Great location, awesome views with a decent sized restaurant with nice seaside decor. Food is correct, simple menu, nothing... fancy but there is nothing wrong with that. Our waiter was a surfer guy and he was cool, talkative, nice, got the order rightand was genuinely friendly. Hostess wasn't as friendly. Storm was coming in pretty slowly, manager got flustered that themechanical windows wouldn't shut with the remote she was using, hero waitress came and relocated us to a table away from thewindows, then hopped up and shut the windows manually, took off her cape and resumed her regular job. Once the windows wereshut, there was a bit of a fly problem...I don't think I can blame them for that, after all it's a restaurant on a fishing pierthat had to close their windows and cut the breeze off. I remember always going to this restaurant at every single vacation on Nags Head. Last year, me and my family didn?t get a... chance to dine there. But today, we finally got a chance. The food was delicious, drinks were refreshing, and the pier was verybreezy and beautiful. It?s like we made another memory in Nags Head, and this one is as great as it can be. Read more

Great atmosphere, wide open to the beach. Calamari appetizer seamed like frozen not fresh.I expected more entrays, larger meals,... but it was limited to sandwiches etc. Service was ok, had to ask for napkins and silver/ plastic warehouse after we got ourfood. Staff has no Communication between server and kitchen. The kitchen was off in its own world not paying attention to how the food... was being made. When you are charging more than 20$ for a burger and adding 4% fees for people paying with cards you expect yourmeals to be correct the first time and not having to send them back to be corrected. I was simply trying to celebrate my wifeand I?s anniversary and we couldn?t even eat the food once it was out because they couldn?t pay attention to the orders theywere getting. My family has been eating at the nags head fishing pier since 1997. We haven?t been to the obx in about 4 years and we were... devastated to find out the main restaurant has been closed for 3 summers now. All that?s left is the tiki bar with a small menu.Wanted to leave them a good review because I saw people complaining about the menu being smaller than the one online. This isbecause the main restaurant is closed!! I will say they really do need to update the website and voice mail because it stillsays the restaurant in open 4-5 days a week from 2-9pm. If they ever open back up the main restaurant we will 100% be back!!This place is an institution of the outer banks!! Read more

Definitely a nice view but the food is not worth the money, we ordered boneless bbq wings and when we got them the bbq sauce was... just poured on top of them and not coated nice. I had the chicken strip basket and it tasted like frozen chicken. My boyfriendordered a pound of shrimp and it was a very small plate, did not look like a pound at all, and they were over cooked andrubbery, and the butter tasted like popcorn butter. It literally tasted like shrimp and popcorn. We asked for ketchup with ourfries and when we got the ketchup it tasted like cocktail sauce and the waitress told us that sometimes they accidentally refillthe cocktail bottle with ketchup. Be careful. No waiting time here- unlike ALL other Nag Head restaurants. There is a reason- sit down dinner menu much different... than online posted menu. This is a two bit establishment with 1 bit servers. And they apply credit card fee to bill beforepaying. You would think tap beer is less expensive than bottle beer. Think again Read more

Nope nope nope not for us, order a salad with my husband and sons meal and they forgot the salad had to wait another 15 min. The... bartender was the friendly staff of all, maybe we should had ate at the Bar. Hundred bucks disappointed for sure . Read more
