Burnt Honey is a lovely dessert shop run by lovely people. Although this place is known around town for its delicate,... colourful, and tasty macarons, Burnt Honey also has a lovely variety of flavours of ice cream (including flavours for your veganfriends). I enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of this small shop, and its staff's easygoing and kind demeanour. For this reason, Irecommend Burnt Honey for you and anyone in your life who loves tasty treats! I am obsessed! We went for the first time ever the other day, tried the lavender honey ice cream, lavender salt macaroon,... cookies and milk ice cream, Nanaimo bar macaroon, and fresh mint and chocolate ice cream. Oh my GOODNESS! The lavender saltmacaroon haunts my dreams, and the ice cream was beyond perfect. The whole family raved about it! We brought home a pint ofburnt honey ice cream and it was so dreamy I could cry. Best ice cream shop on the island, and the macaroons?.I don?t even likemacaroons but these are my new favourite food. 10000000/10 - adore this shop. Read more

World class ice cream right here!! Incredible flavour. And I don?t say that lightly - I?ve eaten a lot of ice cream. I?ve tried... 20+ of the 72 flavours at Mario?s in Vancouver. I?ve sampled authentic Italian Gelati in Rome, and had thick custardy French icecream in Paris. And this right here is good ice cream. My husband and I brought home 3 kinds to try and at first we wereskeptical, because it just looked like plain, coloured smoothness in a tub. There weren?t, like, a bunch of chunks. We likechunks. We?re Moose Tracks fans. But? The FLAVOUR!! These guys have nailed some really unique combinations (likebasil-chocolate) that are hard to balance, and even the familiar ones like mint chocolate taste incredibly authentic to theactual herbs involved. I have peppermint all over my yard and eat it all the time and this ice cream didn?t taste like cheapimitation mint it tasted like real peppermint. No idea what kind of ingredients they use but the flavours are so fresh I?m justsuper impressed. We loved all three. Will be coming back for more very soon. Read more

I would love to post pictures of the actual macarons but I was too excited and once I started eating them, I couldn't stop. The... shop is very welcoming and inclusive and I had a wonderful conversation with the owner who was happy to answer all my questionsand make flavour recommendations. I got 3 macarons as a taste test and after eating them (in very quick succession) Iimmediately wished I had gotten more. I had passionfruit, blueberry pistachio and raspberry earl grey. Each flavour wasgenuine, no hint of additives or simulated flavour. These were the very best macarons I've ever tried and are absolutely worthit for their price point. I am excited to try more macaron flavours and to try their ice cream. Their attention to detail, including the macaron key taped to the inside lid of the box, is second to none. I highly recommend making the trip to BurntHoney! Read more

A great ice cream place. Everything is made in house and you can tell they put a lot of thought and work into their ice creams.... They explained to me where all the ingredients come from and they try to use as many local suppliers as possible. The scoops arereally huge! I've never had the burnt honey (caramelized honey) flavor before so it was really interesting and delicious to try.I'm not sure if I liked the matcha raspberry white chocolate as the flavors didn't go well together but separately they weredelicious. Ample parking as it is part of a strip mall. Read more

As a vegan of over a decade, I've had a lot of vegan ice cream from a lot of different places. I recently moved to the island... from Vancouver, and finally tried my first cone at Burnt Honey. This is THE BEST ice cream (and cone) I have ever tasted. Fairlypriced because the portions are huge (splitting two scoops with my girlfriend was still more than we needed). We tried the darkchocolate and maple walnut and they were both mind blowing! Super creamy and flavourful, not too sweet but just sweet enough.Perfect melty texture but not so much that it was leaking everywhere. The waffle cone was like fresh caramel and held up greatuntil the very last bite, with no spills. We will be back, like, tomorrow! Read more
