Fantastic food! My husband is celiac, this is the first time he's had chinese in years!! Great place!
I?m shocked this place has so many bad reviews! My partner and I ordered from here twice last weekend, and both times we... thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We tried pork fried rice, chicken chop suey, chicken wings, sweet and sour pork, andszechuan style pork. Our only complaint is that they do not cook their carrots enough in the chop suey ? not a huge deal sincethe flavours are so good, however. Also, for my gluten free friends, Dover Chinese is on the Celiac Scene and can prepare avery large variety of their dishes gluten free! Pretty awesome! I also want to say that the service we received was friendly andkind. I do recommend trying Dover Chinese despite some negative reviews from some other people. Read more

Oh dear. This is the third visit in 14 months. Very disappointing. Tasteless food. Undercooked items. Why? Come on. Oh,... and expensive especially since it is tasteless. We are from Vancouver so I guess we are spoiled from excellent Chinese food. We will not be trying a fourth time. Get some cooks who know how to make authentic Chinese food. ???? Read more

I ordered a #701 Chicken chow mein, pork fried rice, sweet and sour pork. It was delicious. A lot of food. I got two meals out... of it. I've been there a couple of times before and I will continue to go there. Great food, fast service. Read more
Our first take out order in Nanaimo. It is not a place to go to for dine in. They only do take out. You will get a 10% discount... if you pick it up by yourself. But if you cannot, you pay the regular price. You can pay cash or card when ordering by phoneupon delivery. The good thing here you can order before 12 midnight. I love their fried rice, and their curry fried rice. Idislike their almond chicken, though. Their chow mien tastes all the same even though you ordered different varieties. Read more
Can't give this a zero star, so they unfortunately get. One star. "Chow mein" was made from instant noodles packs with... miniscule slices of veggies and "chicken" . Almond chicken was soggy and tasteless. Deep fired prawns were shrimp with about aninch coating of batter and tasteless, broccoli and beef, lacked any beef whatsoever, and was mainly carrots in a beef gravy.If this chef would like, i would challenge him to a cook off of the so called dishes.
