Disgusting food spend $90+ at the table and not one person enjoyed their meal food was inedible. We felt sick after the few... bites we had. Would not recommend go somewhere else? staff was lovely and service was good. Read more

I ordered take out, simply didn't have the energy to eat in and it was close to my hotel. The reviews looked good, so I figured... why not! I'm not sure if it's because it was an hour before close, but I was disappointed with the amount of beef on my beefdip. And beef being the key thing on a beef dip, it shouldn't be lacking. Sadly, the onion rings weren't much better, and I'mpretty sure they are the same as a popular ice cream chain's... Overall it needed salt, the jus included. I wouldn't be upset ifsomeone treated me to a meal here, but I certainly wouldn't pick it myself. Read more

Bowl of wonton noodle soup was great. Who wudda thought that a place like this would have authentic wonton noodle soup???... ???? It had a flavourful bone broth chicken stock that didn?t taste like msg. The wonton were made of pork. There was noshrimp like the Hong Kong version has. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. This is the real deal if you are of Cantoneseheritage, or as close as you will find anywhere. A picky criticism on my part would be to point out that the wontons wereactually a little too large and the filling could have used some water chestnut and maybe some Chinese mushroom. Other thanthat, this dish is a winner that you cannot find anywhere else except in a small town that has original Cantonese descendantswho obviously care about the food they put out. My real criticism is that they have their C-19 protocols still up. They wereridiculous when they came out a year ago and they?re even more ridiculous now. Read more

If there was an option I would have given them 10 out of 10. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff, so many options. We had... bacon onion burger, super delicious, honey garlic chicken burger, tasted perfect. Honey garlic chicken plate which was so fresh. And Fat kids dream pasta the best Alfredo sauce ever. It is a must try restaurant. Definitely recommended, I must tell themdon?t change anything you are great the way you are. Read more

Was really looking forward to trying this place. The atmosphere was fun and our server was amazing. But the food was just okay.... The salad was fine and the won ton soup were interesting, and tasted decent, but not spectacular. Will likely be back to try thedesserts but so far not in the top five best places we've tried in Nanaimo. My wife wanted to give it 4/5 so we'll split thedifference and call it 3.5 Read more

Tonight we by fluke chose to go Mrs. Richies.( I wanted family friendly and a good burger) So I ended up on old Google and... boom up popped Mrs. Richies! From the moment we walked in the door ( the friendly welcome was huge and superappreciated) Kimberly was our waitress and she was excellent. I had to try the won ton soup and wow!!!!!! Also had thechicken cordon blue burger and the bacon onion burger!!! The gravy and fries are incredible ???? I'll try poutine next time as I dislike coated fries and these were definitely not coasted and crisp yet soft!!! Yummy!!! My Cesar's wasgreat!!! Seriously what absolute treat. Currently fat, full and extremely happy. Read more

Mrs Riches: They have very friendly service, good Covid precautions and a quiet setting. The K2 Burger Challenge is a thing to... behold. If you can consume this violently large burger platter, you eat for free. Their polaroid wall of fame is like agladiator memorial of failed hopefuls who flung their Pretorian hopes at this meat atrocity. Try it? with a defibrillatorpresent and EHS Advanced Life Support on standby?. This enormous food platter needs only wheels to double as a meat chariot? orat least a bathtub. Bring your camera and call ahead for this burger (they need advanced notice). $67 if you can?t finishit. Meat sweats are free. We brought our burliest alpha male. He stacked his hopes high on this ?burger? but only slayed 60%of it before adopting a curious sitting angle, pained facial expressions and a litany of excuses . I believe doctors call this?protein exhaustion?. Read more
