Went to Order food for pick up and witnessed terrible sanitation and food preparation. Employee took off their hat ran their... hands through their hair, put it back on. Continued to use unwashed hands to prepare meals. No tongs used to grab toppings. Whenthe employee spilled a bit of the noodles, they picked up the mess with their unwashed hands again and put it in their mouth toeat. Then continued to work on orders. I walked out a minute later. Waited for 30 minutes. They started cleaning up and didn?t even begin making our order until they were reminded. We were sitting... waiting and watching everyone cleaning up. Our orders were all messed up. I asked for Mac & cheese with chicken and it had nochicken. I asked for pad Thai with tofu and it came with pork. Fried rice with pork and it came with both tofu and pork. Therewas an allergy alert for egg and nut and I ordered rice noodles. The box arrived with two different types noodles and as far asI understand, there is only one style of rice noodle. They are now closed and we can?t exchange anything. Stupidly gave a tip atordering. I followed the recommandation, teriaky + hokkien noodles. The mix was good, but not very impressed by the meal for the price. It... was a little less than 20$ for a box with chicken and a nestea can. Not a lot of flavour, not spicy at all, some brocoli werestill raw, just warm. There were only 2 people before me. I was lucky since I got my meal in about 8 minutes. People arrivingafter me had to wait 10 to 15 minutes. All that to say, I don't see myself going there again, especially for the price and thewait to get your food, which will probably be a bit disapointing. Read more
This place has gone down hill fast.. today I ordered a medium spice ginger beef meal and it was nuclear hot with ZERO ginger... flavour or any other flavour other than hot peppers. My stomach has decided that I?ll never go back again. Read more
Went for lunch yesterday. Friendly new employee working at the counter, good experience with her. The kitchen staff were too... busy eating, chatting and checking out the one employees bum to care about the food they were prepping. My friend ordered hotfor spicy and it was bland, I ordered chow mein and they served ginger beef with rice. Maybe the employees should smoke less potbefore coming to work. Read more
Waited over 30 minutes for the order while watching people that ordered behind me get their order first. Ordered medium hot but... had been given no spice. Burnt pieces from the pan throughout the whole meal followed by waaaaay too much sauce. I use to loveeating here but after this experience I?d rather not waste my time. Read more
Great idea, lousy organization.. we were drawn into the place by a menu posted outside.. and it was helpful.. or so we... thought..? We knew just what we wanted, had the correct cash in hand for food and drinks, but the problem started when thetotals were wrong.. like maybe $4 and I asked why? The manager is called, he stops cooking.. walks over.. his smile disappears& I think more than one of staff guffawed.. "ya, that's the old price.. you can be forgiven for the error.. forces a laugh.. so,did you want the food or not?" We said, "hey, bait & switch much"? Noodlebox has been on Vancouver Island for about 20 years. Starting as a street vendor and now franchised. The food does not... disappoint and also fresh and tasty. Order mild if you don't like spicy food. You can order ahead for dine in or take awayoptions or just walk in and sit down. Doordash pickup and deliver from this location. Staff are friendly and the restaurant isclean. Read more
