My daughter and I were visiting Nanaimo and I wanted to take her for a special little dinner...just the 2 of us. We googled to... find for a place to go with good reviews and found Saigon Kitchen. We walked into a happening little spot and were greeted by alovely woman and a few other staff members. They got us a table right away and we're prompt with our drinks. We decided on abeef pho and a spring roll meal for the two of us to share. The food was on the table within 10 mins...I was surprised as theywere so busy! We were so pleased with the quality, flavors and presentation. I have eaten Vietnamese hundreds of times and thisplace did not disappoint! The pho was phenomenal !!! The spring rolls were very good and the salad fresh! My daughter was sohappy with the food too. Halfway through the owner Ray came out for a walk through and guest check...he was very kind and happyto see and meet his guests. We ended up taking a few minutes talking with Ray and he was my daughters new buddy...even offeredher more soup to take home...super nice! We had a great experience and that was my whole point of taking just my girl out for amommy & daughter treat. Thank you so much Ray! Service is great. The broth of pho is on the sweeter side, not my cup of tea. Ingredients were fresh.

Nice place right off the highway (that's the view, haha). Seemed like every one of the patrons knew of each other and the staff.... Pho Dac Biet was extremely fragrant and the broth had a very full body to back the soup up. Had a taste of the tofu salad rolland chicken vermicelli bowl, both were standard. Would definitely come back, when on the island again, for the pho and the beefroll (beef and a spring roll inside a salad roll)! Read more

It was a rainy day but the experience from this restaurant makes the day better. My girlfriend and I went to try Saigon Kitchen... and unfortunately the parking lot is full but Mr.Ray(the owner) saved a spot for me using his bucket????????????. Reallyappreciate the gesture. I highly recommend this place to everyone if you would like to look for a good Vietnamese cuisine in town. Staffs are very... friendly. Restaurant which is also an opened kitchen is super clean and comfortable atmosphere. Also, the lady, who works at thefront desk with big smile always, is extremely kind and helpful ???????? The service was fantastic. We are a family that mainly orders vegetarian food. We had the veg spring rolls, curry, crepe and... chowmein. We also had one Pho (B1).
