*****One of the best Sushi places in Nanaimo. Had take-out last night and the rice was very good. The seafood and ingredients... fresh and tasty . It is our 'go to' place for sushi. *********** Placed that review 2 years ago. It would appear that there arenow new owners. The sushi is still tasty, however, the nori is cut so small it doesn't connect and the larger sushi rolls appearto be only 2 rice grains thick, this causes the sushi to fall apart when attempting to eat it. I believe you can do better. Iwill try one more time and am hoping that there will be no more skimping of the rice or sheets. Read more
Had for take out an hour before closing. It was ready in a jiff. We asked if we could swap it a roll from one of the platters... and they were very flexible on that. Sushi was great, didn't skimp on the main ingredients. Soy sauce packs they give out werein a bin, take what you can eat. Kindly asked for two little cups and they gladly gave them. Would very much recommendthem. Also they have Ramune and Calipico drinks if you're into that, I love those drinks. Read more

Good quality, nice serving sizes, fresh fish. We've been getting take out from Tomo for many years and have never been... disappointed. Minus 1 star because their prices have really gone up. I understand that prices are going up everywhere but theirtake out prices are higher than a sit down meal at Ryu. Read more
