Quick update after visiting couple more times. We actually love stopping by after dinner for glass of wine and dessert. They... have great dark pink Rose. I have i mix feelings about this place. Maybe after i visit one more time i will have a clear ideabut now i will share my first time experience. First thing what you see when you look at the menu is that they add 23% gratitudeto the bill + 6% tax so prepare yourself ! Great wine menu if you like wine. I am a cocktail person and i do not drink wine so ihad beer (they do not have license for hard liquor). I had i nice German beer actually taste great. We try the crab salad andone of the dessert options - chocolate hazelnut cake - they taste amazing. Great flavors , size is ok . Personally i think thefood is overpriced but we do not have to forget we are in Nantucket. What i like - kitchen is open till 11 (maybe the only onerestaurant here that offer food that late). Server just must of over heard my husband say Cabernet then presented him with a glass of wine and the Pinot I ordered. The... bill came and the cab was priced at $29. a glass. He had asked her what?s this with the response your cab. We paid but niteruined. Read more

The wine was great, but the service was terrible. My wife and I stopped in for a drink and appetizer. We were able to find a... seat by the window quickly, but after the server took our order and delivered our glasses of wine we never heard from him again.Despite trying to flag him down and waiting to order food, we decided to skip the food and a second drink and left to goelsewhere. Would very highly recommend this place. It's new, not very big, and wasn't busy, but I have a feeling that it will be much... busier next time. Had never tried high end canned seafood (only saw Anthony Bourdain try it when he was in Spain). So wethought, why not. Let me tell you the food was amazing. Had a couple of glasses of wine with it, which the bartender/server(maybe owner) recommended. We had the canned tuna, sushi, and oysters. Loved all of it. In addition, the prices were veryreasonable. Secret hide-a-way? Afterhouse is one of our summer favorites. Tucked down below the sidewalk at 18 Broad Street... it feels like... a private little pub from the 1800's. It is a wine and seafood bar that thankfully not everyone gets. Its menu is focusedseafood; including raw bar, small and shared plates and curated tins from Portugal and Spain. The wine list offers most of thebottles by the glass and the beer selection features smaller local and regional bottles as well as Chimay and Carlsberg ondraft. Food is amazing...service is great! Not many places open this late, no crowds to fight! Wine was fabulous! I recommend the crab... salad, tuna tartare sandwich, the green papaya salad, and have heard the mushroom sandwich is amazing. Have been here quite afew times and absolutely love it!!! ???? Read more
