The gaslight is a cool spot on a side street right off Main. We had some small plates that were good and drinks were ok. The... one killer of this place is it is over priced for the quality of food and drink. All of Nantucket is expensive but my drink atalmost $20 was no where as one you would get at another highend restaurant. Don?t get me wrong, it is a good spot.. but beprepared to overpay. Read more
The Gaslight restaurant on Nantucket is a new permutation of an old restaurant on Nantucket. This was most recently The... Starlight, a restaurant with bar AND movie theater. The Starlight had been in place for more than 15 years before it closedwithin the past few years. It was a popular hangout as a bar. It hosted BINGO for several years. It was a restaurant. Moreimportantly, it was one of two movie theaters on the island and for several years, the ONLY movie theater. I had frequented thetheater on Saturdays with my own children. Now as The Gaslight, which is what it had been called when I first went to Nantucketin 1990, has been totally re-done. The movie theater is gone (so sad). The bar is now the centerpiece of the place and iscentrally located. There is a large dining room and a smaller dining area. There is a stage in the large dining room for livemusic. There is also outdoor seating. I was there for late brunch on Sunday, May 15 2022. My daughter and I split a PB&Jscone (needed more strawberry jam for me). I had the Smash Patty Melt. Very, very good with plenty of caramelized and garlic. My daughter had Bagel Sammies with smoked salmon. She said that she enjoyed it. We chose outdoor seating as it was a very niceday out. The waitress was very attentive, keeping water glasses filled and making sure we did not need/want anything else. Thelocation is one of the best in-town in my opinion, NOT on Main Street. Expect Nantucket prices but otherwise, The Gaslight iswell worth it and I would eat there again. In fact, I recommend it. Read more
Every plate was delicious! We stuck to raw and small plates, split almost everything, and enjoyed it all! Only 1 dessert option... (carrot cake) but it was savory and superb! Read more
A small Asian-fusion restaurant we tried on the island. Overall it was pretty good, and the steak ???? tips were delicious ????.
It was one of my favorite spot last summer to go out.
