Worst BBD experience ever. Normally, we can count on BBD being consistent with well prepared food and good service. Well not... this time. We ordered eggs and hash browns. Eggs were bland, hash browns were under-cooked and bland. Bacon was very greasy.Toast was cold with barely visible butter on it. Orange juice was the only good thing about breakfast. Service was slow and wehad to wait over 10 minutes for our check after our plates were cleared. Waitress asked me how the food was and I told her"Just Okay" and she just walked away. We stopped here for breakfast before going wine tasting. My wife had the Shasta scramble and I had scrambled eggs and bacon.... Both dishes came out perfect. The hash browns were cooked all the way through which doesn't always happen at our Black Bear. Theservice from our waitress was spot on. Will eat here again when in Napa. Read more

I was excited to visit this food chain for the first time and I'm sad to say I'll never return. The food was okay. But the... service was not good. My biggest pet peeve when being waited on is when the server drops off the food and never returns. Wenever got our drinks refilled or the ability the let the server know that we didn't get something we ordered. We needed ketchupand my son had to retrieve it from another table. We needed more napkins and ended up sharing them because again, our serverdropped off the food and never checked back on us. When we finished our meal, I eventually had to get up and ask for the billmyself because we still didnt see our server after she dropped off our food. Sometimes I can empathize with the server if theyhave a lot of tables but there was only one other table in the diner so her lack of attentiveness was inexcusable. All that setaside, the overall atmosphere was not welcoming at all. The host gave us a cold greeting and seemed bothered when my child askedhim a question about the menu. The server never introduced herself or gave any kind of warm greeting but only said, "Are youready to order?" All in all, it was a dissapointing dining experience. Read more

First timer to this chain restaurant. Had a tasty Chicken Cobb salad. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served. Is Within reasonable... walking distance from the Hampton Inn and Suites. Good service, pricing seems reasonable. Definitely diner type atmosphere. Read more

Well I've been in some other black bear locations and this time I'll never come back to this restaurant I won't give a good... rate they bring my dish but it supposed to come with vegetables and the server told me that he was gonna bring them in a littlebit but it didn't happened so I started to eat my food and when I was almost finishing it the guy brought them"toooo late" andthe fries were overcooked as the onion rings as I show on the pictures very bad experience ???????????????????? One of the few places left in Napa valley where you can get a good meal, great service for a decent price. I've been going to... black bear in Napa since 2009. My girl ordered the California bacon ???? Benedict in the photos I posted, I got the chibattaburger added cheese ???? and bacon. It was amazing. Breakfast was about 13, my burger was 15 because of added cheese and bacon,and it included fries. Service/people are always great. My burger was huge, so was breakfast. the pie and desserts are great butI usually skip because the meals are so big. Lots of locals here, great if you want to avoid expensive tourist orientedestablishments. Highly recommend this spot. Read more
