My family and I have been to Los Abuelos a few times and I have to say that we have never been disappointed. The food just gets... better and better each time we come. The chips and salsa are amazing. The green salsa has the perfect amount of lemon and thered salsa really brings the heat. The Chile relleno with green sauce is perfect! It came with flavorful rice, beans, andtortillas. My family and I also shared the quesabirrias several times. They are warm and cheesy with a nice amount of meat. I'vetried quesabirrias from several places but these are by far the best I've ever had!! The weekend special birria bowl is one ofour favorite items on the menu and it tastes delicious. So far, we?ve tried steak tacos and shrimp tacos. They?re packed withmeat and very flavorful. The steak burrito is also big and tasty. The prices are great for the quality and amount of food! *This is a historical site, some local history can be gleaned from the plaques and it's importance is noteworthy. With that... disclaimer..... No real character and the dining area is sparse and feels large and empty, even when full. The menu is limitedand sparse although varied. The service was excellent. The food was even better. The pre-meal chips were thick and warm, they tasted like they were... freshly made. We got the taco salad w/steak. It was huge! Great food! Great service! Great salsa! All around a great establishment! The place is beautiful and very very clean! We had the... birria bowl and the menudo bowl all very delicious. Breakfast! Food was awesome and came hot off the grill. Too many places around here seem to just figure they can charge more... just because they are in napa. Not this place. Read more
