I had an excellent experience here due to our wine expert, Sol (sorry if name misspelled). She gave a wonderful tour of the... house and was very enthusiastic about the history. My favorite wine was the malbec which was served in the basement/dungeonarea. The actual tasting itself was enhanced by the pairing of cheeses. Overall, I had fun and will return in the future. What a treat! Please put this on your list for must try wineries. We had such amazing wines here?. (Malbec and Cabernet were... our favs). The history and details of how they have come to where they are today are the highlights! Beautiful grounds?.. veryvery personable staff. This will be one of your favorite wineries in Napa! I really was not a huge fan of this vineyard. First of all we were with another group which was different than any other... vineyard we had gone to. The house and property are very pretty but during our tour, the host seemed very scripted andnon-personable. While doing the wine tasting at the end, everything seemed like a business transaction, pushing quickly throughthe tasting and felting the pressure to purchase something. I will say this was our last vineyard for the day so we probablywere not the best students but the host should of been more patient with her presentation and delivery. Read more

I came here with my husband to enjoy a tour on a Saturday afternoon. Jim was our tour guide and did a great job of explaining... everything and keeping us engaged. The location was beautiful and getting to walk around the grounds was amazing. The assortmentof wines was also nice since it was much different from other winery options. The pairing of cheese at the end was fantastic andoverall a great time. I highly recommend a visit. Read more

This was where we had our first tasting in Napa ever and it left a wonderful and lasting impression! As you drive up you are... greeted multiple times with "private drive" signs. Keep going, it's part of what makes it so charming. The Estate is tucked awayin a beautiful valley off the main drag and the tastings are private and limited to 10 people. A recipe for a relaxing, personal, and informative tour. When you arrive you are greeted by your tour guide with a glass of wine to enjoy on the scenicpatio while you wait for the tour to begin. We had literally flown in that morning and this was our first stop in Napa so it wasa great way for us to begin winding down from our travels. Our lovely tour guide, Steve, began the tour inside the mansionexplaining the history of the property starting way back in the 1870s. Very interesting through each era of its story. We got toview the pool, the speakeasy, the apothecary garden, bocce court, and the curious variety of foreign plants, trees, and flowersgifted to owners over the years. The grounds are just stunning and calming at the same time. The tour concluded with a tastingin the dinningroom of the main house paired with some wonderful cheeses. In the end, we purchased a few bottles to shiphome. Throughout our trip we went to 6 different wineries and this was definitely my favorite one. I highly recommend!! Protip 1: They only do private tours and tastings by appointment only and they are limited. So make sure to set up your tasting inadvance. Don't hesitate in doing so, you won't be disappointed. Pro tip 2: As you pull up to the front of the main house theparking signs are confusing and parking seems limited. You can drive in front of and past the main house to find additionalparking on the other side. Read more
