I have never felt compelled to give a review of a restaurant until today. My husband and I were visiting the Napa area and... decided to try out a restaurant we had never been to. We chose to go to Torc. I have to say it is one of the top meals we haveever had! Not only did we have the best servers, who worked as a team, but the food was amazing! So many flavors! Wait staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and helpful! Food was meh. We ate it but man oh man was it all slightly... bland and tasted like the only spice o. The menus was pepper. Nothing blew me away and for the price point i wanted to love it.Really really let down by just about every food item. Read more
This is the definition of 5 stars. Visited a few restaurants in the area of all levels and this was by far the best. Food was... delicious, the staff was very well trained and knowledgeable, the restaurant was very clean and organized, the bar was great,very welcoming atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it enough, would love to go back to try the other things on the menu. Thedeviled eggs, burrata crostini, quail and vanilla cake were all amazing. We visit Napa regularly and this was one of our best dining experiences. The dining staff were extremely attentive and... willing/able to accommodate a variety of dietary needs. Usually a fine dining experience means no substitutions but at Torc itwas the opposite. They were able to offer number gluten free/vegetarian options and took time to walk us through the menu. Weended up getting Pakora, soup, risotto and spiced pear sorbet. Each dish was beyond delicious!! The cocktails were also great -plus they had a great wine menu (of course). Read more

Absolute excellence in cuisine. We had dinner for 4 and every dish brought a unique and delectable experience to our palettes. ... The deviled eggs, sweet potato dish, and eggplant flowers made incredible appetizers and we followed with the beef duo,scallops, and rigatoni with truffle. I did not choose to reduce the rating by a star, however, I do want to extend feedbackregarding masks. We literally had to walk 5 feet to our table and a mask was mandated to do so...not the issue. We werecharged 3.00 each for the privilege and unfortunately that set the tone initially at our table. It seemed petty as we're aboutto spend hundreds on our meal. Good meal, good people, good location. The food is good, but the meals here are slowly cooked to perfection, so depending on... what you order, may take as long as 60 minutes. The beef was delicious, and it's designed to be shared for 2+ people. The cornbread soup was a different take on corn soup, but so so good: creamy and with bits of corn bread with the corn soup addedtexture. Celebrated a birthday and got a tart strawberry yogurt ice cream dessert. It's in a nice location as there is a smallfree public parking lot across the street, and you can walk around and hop from bar to bar or other shops in this area of town. Read more
A fabulous dinner place! The food was exquisite and very rich in flavor. We had the squash blossoms, wild mushroom risotto with... black truffles, the Maine scallops, and strawberry cream puff with pistachio ganache. The popcorn on the scallop dish felt outof place.
