Very good food. A lot of flavors and options. Didn't have any desserts or pastries. Chicken curry and butter chicken a must try.
We ordered a birthday cake with Rasmalai flavour. The cake looked good from outside but after cutting it we realised it is a... plain vanilla flavour cake. I tried 2 different slices but still jo rasmalai flavor. I tried contacting the owner to raise theissue to which he replied ?We cannot help you at all with this. This is how we make our cake. Please send me some picture of thecake but I won?t be able to help you. If you want another cake please go to Chicago Hot breads a buy a new one?. It is clearlyvisible from the photos that there is no rasmalai in the frosting or in the bread(which is how rasmalai cakes are made by addingsmall rasmalai pieces). So their cakes are bad and the so is the team. One thing is sure that I am never buying a cake fromthere ever in future. And even for a Vanilla flavour it was not good, there was more frosting than cake. I would never recommendthis bakery to anyone. Read more
I have tried hot breads in many places in Illinois. I like their chaat varieties and biryani. Very reasonable price to try.... Recently 3 or 4 times I tried their dosa varieties. Plz don?t order them, they don?t have dosa batter in hand instead theymanage to prepare dosa using rice flour or something so the dosa doesn?t taste like dosa. We visited on weekdays first andordered onion uttapam, t taste like very sour and sticky. I thought May be they don?t have batter on weekdays as crowd will beless but when I went on weekend and ordered rava dosa and onion dosa, it taste same like first one. Not at all good. Thechutneys are prepared made on week ahead and sambar too.they just reheat it. So nothing is tasty. If you like to go there, orderchaat or other items. Last I like them to stop adding more food colors(red color) to all gravy. It doesn?t look appetizing. Read more
I wish we have some negative (-) stars rating...Very horrible experience this time ..We specially went to have Dosa's but the... food quality is very bad. Taste and quality is bad even they dont know how to make coconut chutneys or the simple sambar... TheVada experience is horrible its very hard to eat and not made with fresh batter / mix ..We had dosa and south Indian food inpast here but this time the experience is very bad.. Read more
Came here today 08/11/2022 - first thing their chefs come at 12 when the restaurant opens. Second thing food : Apollo fish was a... total disaster . Too dry and not even close to Apollo fish. Goat dum biryani was just okay. There was no water on thetables When i asked for one the waiter was like it's on the floor get it . Very irresponsible and worst hospitality . You needto know how to talk to your customers. Note : the lady in the counter was doing an excellent job . She was sweet and cordialenough to take our order with patience. My kids have a great liking for hotbreads cakes since they were kids, if it is a cake it should be from hot breads and no other... cake for their birthdays, over the past 15+ years I am seeing the transformation in their cakes which is not going in for good,their pastries are prefect but in cakes unless you cut the cake you don?t know there is no cake in it it is only the fillingthey are filling it up and decorating the cake. Good food, very nicely renovated. Friendly staff offers suggestions. Food made by cook on premise so if cook leaves may be less... options. But would rather have made to order food than scooped out of a pan that has been sitting for hours. So got chilipaneer, chicken biryani, and mango cakes. Very nice little cafe atmosphere. Food comes within about 10-15 mins freshly made.Lot of large windows facing West. So if you come around 3-5 pm for snack and pastries the place has a very nice warm glow and isa very comfortable place to rest midway through your day Read more
We have been to hot breads several times for a quick snack or dinner but we engaged Raj and his team to do a live chaat catering... event for a Diwali function with over 100 people and they did a fantastic job. The team came in team, had the right planning andpresentation and everybody loved the food!!! Extremely well done. Would definitely bring them back for our next party!!! Read more
