Been a few years since we had Yen Ching. Decided to try it a couple days ago and we weren't big fans of the food. The... Mongolion Pork was so dry, tough, and chewy that every bite we were afraid we were going to choke. The chicken fried rice wasso bland. The chicken pieces in the fried rice were bright white meaning they cooked it separately with absolutely no seasoningand then through the chicken into the fried rice after cooking. The Egg Fu Young was actually cooked very well and so was theKung Pao chicken. We may eat here again in the future but only if we have a craving on a day where our regular Chinese Foodplace is closed (Tuesdays). Read more

Some if the best Chinese food I've eaten in a long while. We had the combo egg foo young which were huge, flavorful and... exceptional well seasoned and the shrimp fried rice that was also delicious, loaded with shrimp and was a large portion for asmall. The won ton soup was also delicious. This is after trying at least 4 other Chinese restaurants in the Naperville area. This is a must try and we'll definitely be going back. Place was okay, the pan fried noodles didn’t really have any flavor and the fried rice was just white rice with egg in it, the... egg rolls were not too bad. I won’t be going back Read more

Best Fried Rice in Naperville. This is a hidden gem in Naperville. It’s tucked out of the way, but it has heat Chinese food... for the suburbs. Read more

We have ordered from and enjoyed this place in the past. Ordered today and everything tasted different. The LoMein was a... different noodle. The orange chicken was not edible-strange breading and no sauce. The general Tao chicken also had the strangebreading. Won’t be going back. And strangest thing they called and asked if got extra egg rolls. - we didn’t but what werethey going to do. Read more

This has been great for many years as our local favorite spot as we live near by. Leaving a review to let others know that they... have changed the menu and the food is not the same. Order on 5/6/22 was great yen ching as it's been for years. Order on 5/21/22something changed and was Unfortunately disappointed and surprised. Maybe just an off night?? But everything tasted differentand breading was different the lo mien was super plain. After being my go to spot for more then 10 years I am not sure I willback. Not sure why they made changes to such great food.. have to find a new place and that is disappointing because I lovesupporting local places. Read more

New Owners (late may-2022). Horrible!!! W/higher prices. They have NO idea how to cook, flavor or prep. Chinese... food. Vegetables were all soft & mushy because they were so overcooked. Celery was cut randomly in three inch lengths. Broccoliwas all trees it was so large. Shrimp Fried Rice had micro shrimp and bad oil for its only flavor. Steamed Broccoli was likebaby food and fell off the fork it was so soft. Wrong batter used for Orange/General Tao’s Chicken and flavorless. Kung PaoChicken didn’t include peanuts or brown sauce, instead they used chili oil and sugar as the only flavor w/mushrooms, minicorn, broccoli trees and long stocks of celery…. So nasty tasting we had to just toss it in the trash. In fact it all went inthe trash because it wall all soooo bad. I’m angry that the past owners did this to their loyal customers. They sold the name, phone number and client list to the new owners. I truly feel my $65 was stolen from me by con men in an alley posing as cooks. Read more

Thank you Yen Ching for being a part of our local community! I am so grateful for this small family owned Chinese food... establishment. They have saved me many times when I didn't have food on the table during busy days and nights. And through thepandemic they have become a regular staple. The many different dishes on the menu are delicious and consistent, and theportions are generous. It is so close to home yet the high quality, large portions, and fair prices rival many of the Chineserestaurants that are further away. My family's favorites are the Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Egg Foo Young, andBBQ Pork Fried Rice. They always answer their phones and the food is promptly ready when it's promised. The lady in front is sosweet and patient even when she has multiple orders to manage at the same time. The owners early on had taken steps to ensurethat their business is sanitized and they have installed plastic shield guards. If you are in the mood for some good wholesomeChinese food, why leave the neighborhood? Yen Ching delivers a quality meal that always hits the spot! Read more
