We ended up here after we unsuccessfully tried going to a nearby Waffle House. And we were so happy to find Mel’s diner and... enjoyed the service and the food so much that we came back the next day. Kellie our waitress was so great that we asked for heragain. She suggested some menu choices for us and they were all delicious. I might add that Kellie makes the bestmilkshakes???? We decided to go the Mel's for dinner at the Golden Gate location. The menu has such a variety and good prices. Our wonderful... waitress was Desiree. Great place for breakfast!! My husband had Mel's Skillet, which was just wonderful! I had Eggs Benedict and the Hollandaise... wasn't what I'm accustomed to. It wasn't bad, just different. Service was good, our waitress was very attentive and kept thecoffee coming! Read more
Ordered first time. Location was a bit packed, so thought it's good. Service is pleasant, unfortunately the food isn't at all.... We ordered a pizza to go and when we opened the box at home we couldn't believe that this was the pizza. The pizza was burnedand the pepperoni didn't look and especially taste good at all. Read more
Food was good overall. We got the prime rib, baby back ribs, and AYCE Fish. The fish was a little over cooked for the first 2... orders, but the third was perfect. Service was super-slow and was not really "service with a smile"... but it was still good. Read more
