The service was excellent. My husband had juicy and smoky brisket with real slow cooking. I ordered grouper. It well cooked just... too salty and came with delicious side dishes. (Sweet potato and squash) Read more

They have switched to a Buffet style rather than family style dining. The food was delicious as always but the food can be... slightly dried out if left too long on the buffet tables. The broasted chicken when freshly put out of is very tasty and juicybut if it sits too long can dry out. It all depends on how fast the food is turning over and if the food service is watching thebuffet tables. Read more

Great old time barn atmosphere. Great selection. Choose to order off menu or go for buffet. We ordered off the menu. Sit by... the window overlooking the pond. Read more

My wife and I had the sit down dinner. We both ordered the salmon which came with 2 sides and either salad or soup. She got... the tomato bisque soup which look and tasted very much like spaghetti sauce. It wasn't smooth and creamy the way a bisque issupposed to be, but meaty and chunky just like spaghetti sauce. The salmon tasted like it was cooked with a whole stick ofbutter and seasoned with way too much Lawry's seasoning salt. The mash sweet potatoes tasted funny. This meal was $27 perperson and in no way was worth that. This was our first trip there, but it left a bad taste in our mouths in more than just aliteral sense. The only good thing was the ham and bean soup. It tasted the way I remember ham and beans when I was a kid. They may have other things that are good, but I would recommend not getting the salmon, tomato bisque soup, or the sweetpotatoes until the chef learns other ways to prepare those dishes. Read more

Was disappointed in the buffet. Very few selections. Dressing was good on salad, wish there had been mushrooms and broccoli... salad. Also, soda was $3. Was never offered a refill. The soups on the hot side looked like they had been there all day. Fried chicken was dry. Mashed potatoes were yummy. On the table was the list of pies for dessert. The waitress asked uswhat kind of pie we wanted for dessert. Thinking that it was included, we both got a piece. Not knowing until the bill camethat it was $3.50 a slice. Definitely not going back.
