Not fancy, but solid, inexpensive, and tasty. But I'll definitely keep going back because of an experience that I had with their... delivery. The delivery was prompt and friendly. But I was shocked when the store called me about 20 minutes later. Apparently,two $50s had stuck together when I paid the delivery person and they were calling me to return the money. The people there are nice, but the food is just average. Reasonably priced for what you get. It is a nice option in Narberth,... but nothing to write home about. >> Update a year later >> I am adding to my first review because I picked up some food fromhere a year after my first review and the food was so bad. Everything out of the five dishes had the same flavorless "brown oilsauce" which was vegetable oil and soy sauce, the pepper steak was a green bell pepper and some onion slices with a piece ofbeef in it and the container was only half full. I really miss the previous owners, the food used to be very good and they were friendly. I was craving some Chinese Food, we... called to order but no one answered, we drove over to find a very mean lady working at the counter, the food was tasteless,definitely won’t go back, I’ll miss the original China King! This was awful food. Honestly I don't know what Chinese food is like around here, I was visiting from an hour away. But this was... horrible. Fatty chicken, ketchup like general tsos sauce, dry flavorless rice. The lady was rude as hell on the phone And the"lunch special" was the price of dinner combo back home. Service was quick, even on a snowy day, but the food is just bad. My boyfriend and I were craving Chinese and aren’t usually... picky, but all five different items we ordered, to share and save for leftovers later, were edible at best. We ended up throwingmost of it away. Our dog even spit out the soggy imitation crab meat in the house fried rice. Order from literally anywhereelse. Read more
Plain and simple. This is easily my favorite takeout place. Hands down. No frills at all. A new favorite is the Fried Wonton in... Szechuan Sauce. Old time favorite is the General Tso Chicken. They fry it when you show up so that it stays crispy. That's alevel of commitment that I appreciate. I will continue to return all the time. Read more
This place was favorite Chinese food. I drove 15 or more from Bryn Mawr to get my favorite general Tso and orange chicken. The... quality of the food has gone down so much that last night my family and I trashed the chicken (tso and orange, kept the rice)and eat hotdogs It is the shame I can’t upload the pictures for you to see what they are using.
