Stopped at this place after a morning of shopping. This place was super busy. Found it on Google, when we were searching for a... place that had mexican food. This place did not disappoint! The fish tacos were out of this world! The portions were great, the nachos and salsa they put on the tables were fantastic. Our waitress was quick, and super friendly. We will definitely beback when we are in the area! Read more

My wife and I had lunch at La Carreta Mexican Restaurant on a weekday. We have been eating at this restaurant since it opened... over 20 years ago. It was the best Mexican restaurant in New England and it was always busy. It still is today and there are anumber of family offshoots from it, but the original location is still a winner. Our lunch began with the requisitecomplimentary bowl of chips and a mild red salsa. The chips were just as they should be - thin and crispy. I ordered the lunchGrande Burrito with steak because it is stuffed with more than just meat like most of the offshoots offer. This is a true mealin a flour tortilla similar to what you can find in the Southwest. It filled the plate on which it arrived and came smothered ina red sauce and nacho cheese. Cutting into it I discovered it was filled with rice and beans and the meat. The mix of all thoseitems made this almost like a thick stew inside the flour tortilla shell and I enjoyed every bite. If I could have done anythingto make it even better, La Carreta's would offer the same thing in their Chimichanga. To top it off I ordered a side of freshsliced jalapenos and a cold mug of Negra Modelo beer. My wife enjoyed the Special Lunch #3 with chicken, which came with anenchilada, taco, rice and beans. She also ordered an iced tea which she felt was a bit strong. That is usually an indicationthat they haven't cleaned their tea urn in a while. The service was quick and attentive even though they were moderatelybusy. Any of the La Carreta Mexican Restaurant locations have always been our go to places for the some of the best Mexicanfood in New Hampshire. You won't find any mint in the refried beans here. This is authentic Tex-Mex and well worth a visit for agreat meal and service at reasonable prices. Read more

I eat way too much when I come here because the food is so good. Pretty much the only solidly decent Mexican in Southern New... hampshire. Always crowded! But worth it. Service is fast and efficient Read more

Good food. Used to be nice drinks till now when they don?t even fill it up properly. $10 get you glass that looks like someone... drunk from it before it was served to you. Service is OK. Edit: On 7/29 we got drinks that looked like someone took a huge sipbefore serving them - sadly the waitress did nothing when we mentioned this to her. On 8/12 we got what it supposed to looklike. Changing from one start to two stars. Read more

Hard to give a solid rating bc I've only been here once while we were on weekend trip. Food and drinks were good with large... portions. Great service. We chose this place based on its high rating and high number of reviews. Can't say it was the bestMexican food I've ever had, but certainly was good. Read more

Great flavor and filling dishes at great prices. Stopped in for lunch and was impressed with the extensive menu with a great... selection of Mexican dishes. Salsa was a but mild for my tastes but was thick and the chips were fresh. The food was flavorfuland the dishes were large but not overly so and we're a great value. Service was fast despite the place being busy. A greatoption in the area for delicious Mexican food. Read more
