The Restaurant at Hard Truth is the best place we visited, restaurant wise, during our week long stay in Nashville. We came at... night, so I can't really comment on how beautiful the property is, but it's nestled in the woods and I'm certain it'spicturesque. The restaurant itself is charming, trendy, clean, and comfortable. There's a gift shop and package store. Of coursethere is a full bar, and also booths and tables. The menu is somewhat limited, but there were plenty of options for whateveryou might be in the mood for. We shared a giant pretzel. She got a bacon burger - cooked to order. I got the fish and chips.They were served promptly, hot, and they were all delicious. The fries were crispy and soft in the center. The fish was aquality cod, light and flaky. The burger was juicy and not overcooked. The service was second to none. Anna was our server, andshe was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She shared with us the history of Hard Truth and was enthusiastic abouteverything they do and offer. She made helpful recommendations about the menu and offered samples of beer to help us choose. Wewere also given a flight of samples of various spirits which definitely led to us leaving via the package store - two bottles inhand. I had a dark peanut butter stout and she had a drink called Cream that was coconutty and tasty and came with an edibleflower. Both were excellent and crafty. We have to leave tomorrow, otherwise we'd be back to tour the distillery. We willdefinitely visit again the next time we are in town. Read more
We booked the semi-private 12-person table for after our small wedding in Brown County. The restaurant staff seemed thrilled to... have us there in our wedding garb and the gentlemen who appear to run the place came over with a toast for us. The food anddrinks were amazing, and everyone in our little wedding party was very pleased with our choice. I think this will be a regulardate night for us as well as an anniversary tradition. :) Read more
ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! Service was impeccable, Connie was the sweetest server! We started with the Signature a pulled Pork Nachos... and I had the Fish & Chips which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The atmosphere was great with live music and happy people! Read more
To be sure, it's an amazing piece of property. The outdoor experience can be a lot of fun if there's live music playing. I... would pass on eating in the restaurant again though. I understand the hour long wait for a table on the weekend, I think itcomes down to the price versus the quality of the food. We spent $30 per person to eat some pulled pork sandwiches in a roomwithout a view. The food came right out, which was a huge surprise. More than restaurant and food, I loved drinks and outdoor bar. There was live music which was lit ????. Atmosphere and vibe... feels so amazing, best outdoor near Indianapolis. Burgers are good, salads were ok, there was waiting of 45 minutes, but gottable after 1 hour 15 mins which was dissatisfaction. But the bar area and the vibe OMG it?s truly amazing. This was our 1st visit here and we had been waiting months for this trip. It was awesome! We loved the atmosphere, the food was... great, our server was good for how busy she was. This is a dining in experience, with a party of 7 on a Saturday. The whole place was busy, including the restaurant. We were... told the wait would be an hour and 45 minutes to an hour and sixty minutes (thank goodness it wasn't 2 hours! ????). We wentnext door and participated in a cocktail tasting, decided to head back and hang out downstairs in the Distillery and listen tothe band playing. It ended up taking 2.5 hours to get our table. The staff was nice and friendly, the establishment was clean.The food was okay. Nothing really mind blowing to me, but it was decent. I was told they do not do reservations, which wouldhave been pretty nice. Either way, decent food, longer than I was happy with on wait time. Not sure I'd wait that long again ifI visit again. It was amazing! I definitely recommend a reservation. There was a 1.5 hour wait when we showed up for our 6pm reservation. The... atmosphere was very relaxed and cozy, the food was phenomenal and our server Lizi was very friendly and accommodating. Willdefinitely be back! Read more
