I've been to several events and ate at the restaurant over the past 30 years. It's changed hands, going from your everyday... affordable cheeseburger, fries and a coke to very expensive French Cuisine and back again. Always enjoyable! I cannot say enough about how beautiful this little town of story is! This is where my fiance and I decided to do our engagement... photos. We were so very pleased with the atmosphere and beautiful scenery around this story inn! Not about our stay...this is a restaurant review. We'll...this review is about our dining experience. Overall, the food was... actually really good and the server was friendly. However, it was not great for the price over $200 for a couple and the courseddinner that took three hours with the first food being delivered one hour after seating. The timing was way off. The biggestproblem really was the price. For what we got, the price can't be justified. Literary 2 oysters, 6 shrimp, 2 steaks that werepretty good... but we've had better, and an odd smoked dessert with a tough marshmallow. After tip, we left with $250 less andoddly dissatisfied and confused with what had just happened. However the server was really good and sang for everyone which wasexcellent and unique. Read more
We stayed in the treaty house. Very cozy. Warm. Bathroom has a jetted tub and the private deck has a clean hot tub. The place is... setup in a unique little town area. You can explore the area while visiting. Enjoyed our stay and we will come back again. Read more
We loved our stay at Story Inn. If you are looking for a get-away, this is it. Cabin was very comfortable (and affordable!). We... loved hiking on the horse trail, sitting out back sipping beers and reading. We enjoyed meeting a lot of characters (lots ofmotorcycle people, which was noisy sometimes during the day). Love stopping here as our half way point of our horse riding! We always head down to the bar, see Ann, have a few drinks and a... quick bite. Love seeing all different types of people from horse riders, tourists, weddings, and people from all over. Onlynegative is that they used to sell French fries which were SO good but now no longer offer them. Read more
Such a stunning village! The houses are all for rent, there's an Inn and restaurant with incredible high scale food. There's a... stage and a field big enough for major bands to play and accommodate thousands of concert-goers. It's a gorgeous place to getmarried; stage for the ceremony, hayloft banquet hall for the feast. I am excited to come back for the next festival, I amdressing vintage to match the bespoke decor of the Inn. This village is like a movie set, it's almost surreal. Read more
Wonderful warm Dining experience with my family at Thanksgiving. Delicious meal. Did have a long wait to be served our dinner... but there was few servers and the dining room was full. Waiter made up for it with his good attitude and sense of humor. Overall a lovely dining experience and I would definitely recommend the Story Inn. Read more
