Just when you think the crab cakes are going to be the center of attention for an entree with two basic sides, think again.... Every bit of the dish was so delicious. Just when you realize you’ve been taking a hiatus from mashed potatoes because theyare becoming oddly similar, and you happen upon them on your dinner plate, you have to take an obligatory sample regardless.These were so good. Piled high, these fluffy white clouds were majestically delightful with basics and potato as the mainingredient. The crab cakes had the perfect blend of meat to real ingredients. The accompanying sauce blended with the flavorsvery well and was not overwhelming. Fast forward to the show stopper, the green beans. I know. Basic, right? These were not.These long strands of flavor and nutrients were finished with a sear and left with a smoky profile married with the naturaltastes of fresh green beans. The pinch of seasoning was on point and the greens were left to their own beautiful devices on yourpallet rather than drenched in the entire seasoning shelf as some places will do. The meal was joined with a glass of Chardonnaythat was crisp and cold. The ambiance inside was refreshing. The staff were very friendly with customers but obviously confusedwhen trying to figure out where orders need to be delivered. I would enjoy returning here. Read more
Good place for weekend brunch or a dinner date. Glad they are back from the tornado damage and pandemic. Now you can order from... your phone and specify any allergies. Also added a side walk up window for take away. Make reservations ahead of time to be sureto get a table. Read more
WOW!! The food was absolutely amazing. We got the baked mac stack entree. Wow, it was a lot of food!!! We also got the plum pork... entree. That plum sauce was so delicious. It went very nicely with the mashed potatoes too! The portion on this entree Iconsidered large as well. I’d definitely say we got our money’s worth. I had imagined smaller portions, I guess, but I’mcompletely ok with leftovers because the food was so good!! We went for my husband’s birthday and more than just our serverwished him a happy birthday. The service was fantastic. Jayson did a great job! I really enjoyed that the employees workedtogether so cohesively. We were never without what we needed without even asking. I wish I had the names of others that helpedus. Food and drinks were soo good. Love their happy hour deals. Their French 75 is probably one of my favorites I’ve had at a bar.... We had never been here before. There were 4 of us. We tried the Veal Meatballs. French Onion Soup. Crab Cakes, Plum Pork and... Coconut Curry Salmon. Key Lime Pie, Apple Pie A La Mode, Bailey's Cheesecake. The Meatballs were nice. Crab Cakes Dinner wasn'tvery filling. The plate looked like food was missing. Ordered a side of broccoli to go with the dinner. Salmon was not hot orspicy for a curry. The plum pork was nice and the sauce was really good. No complaints on the taste of the food. Besides being able to walk to this place from my apartment I love the staff here. I love the food. I love the drinks. The menu,... the consistency. The people that come for happy hour. It’s just overall my new favorite restaurant. The cheesecake is homemade y’all and it changes frequently. It’s a must I tell you! Read more
Honestly, I’m hesitant about giving a 5 star review most of the time but I had no questions about giving one for this place.... From the service to the food, everything was exceptional. I walked in and the host was pleasant. I was seated in the bar andCharles was OUTSTANDING! Kind, efficient, and just an overall joy. The food runners were kind and engaging. There was not oneperson who interacted with me that wasn’t a 10/10 on customer service. Ambience was 10/10. The food was exceptional not onlyexceptional, but appropriately priced. I couldn’t even eat everything I ordered because I’m so used to places giving tinyportions that I ordered to much food. It was fine, though, because the leftovers were amazing reheated. Had a really great experience. The monkey bread, omelet, and potatoes were delicious. Wait staff immediately replaced my eggs... that were not poached on my crab cake eggs Benedict. However I lost most of the cayenne hollandaise sauce so I did not get thefull experience. If you like bloody Mary’s with a kick this one was PERFECTION!
