What a delightful evening. I dine alone a lot and it is not all that often that a restaurant staff can, all together, make me... feel so welcome. The menu was really enjoyable, though I would love to come back with a group so I could try more. They hadone of my favorite wines, Hagar Matthias Grüner... if you ever see it, buy it for the label because it's adorable, but the wineis so good. Eggplant with garlic and brown bread, oysters and mignonette, beef tongue pastrami with mustard. Everything wasdelicious... exactly what I thought I needed. What I really needed was to be surrounded by such friendly and welcomingpeople! Thank you. Read more

I love food and eating out and love finding new restaurants around Nashville. That being said, Miel is easily one of the best... meals I have ever had in Nashville, rivaled only by Catbird Seat - and at half the price. Miel has a focus on farm-to-tablefreshness and sustainably sourced food. Plenty of their food is grown in a garden out back - and let me tell you, that freshnessis evident in the quality. Service was fantastic and our waiter, T-Roy, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We followedall of his recommendations and were blown away by every single one, including wine pairings! The menu is set up in a list formatwith smallest plates at the top and largest plates at the bottom instead of "appetizer" and "entree" sections. Let your waiterknow how hungry you are so s/he can point you in the right direction for your desired portion size. Miel is a small restauranttucked away on a side street and hard to see from Charlotte Ave. It does have ample parking. After eating here I'm blown away itisn't on more "Best of" lists etc. T-Roy told us that Miel does not advertise and they prefer to stay under the radar and havepeople come in because of word-of-mouth. Well, sorry T-Roy, but the secret is now out because we have been telling EVERYONE thatthey need to go to Miel! Our first thought at the end of the meal was "when can we come back?" This is a do not miss restaurant!Go tonight!! Read more

Their... small plates are great to share and the menu has something for everyone. I loved their bread and butter, olives, mussels andoctopus. The French 75s were delicious as well. Great for vegetarians, pescatarians, and gluten free diets. Perfect spot for adate night, meeting with friends and group dinners Read more

Simultaneously spontaneous and genius, Miel combines natural ingredients with a high priority on experience and sustainability.... Gastronomic attention aside, the interior offers escape and catharsis for the misfit in all of us. In the modern age, Miel stillcaptures the romance of food, high service, and human connection. Wonderful dinner served outdoors on the open but sheltered patio with heat lamps. Food, cocktails and wine were all incredible,... with excellent service. We appreciated the concern for COVID protocols. Read more

Our friends had been absolutely raving about Miel since their first visit, so we went with them last night to see what their... hype was about. And they had every reason to rave about it, because we ended up also falling in love with Miel!! We started withhappy hour and got drinks, mussels, squash hummus, Miyagi oysters, olives, and sourdough bread with fermented butter. We alsoall ended up ordering the $8 (YES!! Only $8) burger and you would’ve thought we all died and went to heaven. This burger isone of the best burgers I’ve had in Nashville, with the meat coming from bear creek farms (local) and being aged for around 40days, then topped with a stunning aioli on a fresh bun. We all were so happy with our decision to order it. We ended the nightwith a bottle of the domaine les gryphées Beaujolais, the peach basil cake, hazelnut- dark chocolate Pot du Creme, and a Frenchpress of decaf coffee. Everything was incredible and the wine choices and each dish had so much thought out behind it. We werealso able to meet the owner, Seema, and she was so knowledgeable and kind, and she told us all about the beautiful garden spaceand where a lot of the foods were sourced from. You can tell her passion is what fuels each dish and choice, and it’sdelightful to see. Anyways— make a point to come here. Start at happy hour and work through slow courses and enjoy each bite. It’s wonderful! (I hate that I didn’t take better photos, but alas- I was too busy enjoying the burger) Read more

A weird seating arrangement that you need to experience to understand! Atmosphere works though. Great to see the owner, Seema, ... present, mingling & expediting, even bussing. Thank you ma'am. Rare Miyagi Oysters were exquisite though I wish they were morechilled! Poached shrimp was perfectly so with a nice snap, though I kinda expected more of a twist on a standard shrimpcocktail! Tuna, watermelon aqua fresco was one note, screaming for some acidity Foie Gras torchon was excellent with mini freshfigs. Great flavors and presentation. The Duron pork tomahawk chop was, unfortunately, overcooked with a salt bomb of areduction. Hate doing that this day and age but had to return it and opted for a second Foie Gras instead! Great, eclectic winelist that is screaming for a Coravin or more by the glass options! It's obvious that this place is managed and staffed well withpeople who care. Kudos. I'll be back and with my wife so we can split a bottle of fine wine! Read more
