Hubby found this place by accident when searching for BBQ for our lunch stop in Nashville while on our way to Gatlinburg. This... location is across the street from the Grand Ole Opry house - bonus! We are from Texas and know a thing or two about good BBQ,albeit it's typically beef. At Mission, pulled pork is the star! I ordered the pulled pork sammie with slaw, husband orderedthe same. Teens chose beef brisket sliders, brisket sammie and another opted for pork. Awesome selection of various saucechoices at the table. We loved the variety! Veterans receive a free dessert, so we rounded out our meal with a giant brownieand some chocolate pudding. The decor is lively and honors military and police. From the cashier to the hospitality servers,all were friendly, attentive, and thanked my husband for his service. The bathrooms were super clean, which is alwaysappreciated. We stopped by Mission BBQ to grab some lunch as we passed through Nashville. We are very glad we did! The place is decorated... with military and first responder paraphernalia. As a Veteran, I really appreciate the fact that some are still willing to showsupport. The food was amazing. Some of the best BBQ this Texan has ever eaten. Great atmosphere and excellent food. Definitely different than most BBQ restaurants in that you order at at a counter and don't... have a waiter/waitress (more like fast food service). Some of the best BBQ and sides that I have had anywhere. The most tenderand flavorful baby back ribs of any BBQ restaurant I have visited so far! Read more
Awesome quick service barbecue ????. And that?s coming from someone from Kansas City! You guys need to bring one of these to... the KC area. Mission was a good place for BBQ. Nothing crazy special about it IMO. The food was good and was fast to serve. I would say... for the service 4 stars. Also the sauce selection was above average (also 4 stars). The Smokey Mountain and KC classic werethe 2 I liked best. Overall, the food we had that was above average. I would grab some sauce if you can it is pretty darngood. Read more

Hand down, Mission BBQ is my fav bbq spot! The service is fast and efficient. The workers are kind and sweet. The food is... AMAZING!
