Absolutely fabulous food. We moved to Nashville from Athens, GA which is where Taqueria del Sol originated. We always loved... Taqueria del Sol in Athens because the quality of the food is top notch plus it is super fast! The food almost comes out fasterthan you can find your table. The margaritas are super fresh and refreshing. The perfect cocktail to have over lunch. Myfavorite dish is the fish tacos and I tell them to add slaw on it or on the side. The chips are always fresh and the queso isperfection. So definitely get the chips and queso as well. I?m so glad that I have a Taqueria del Sol in Nashville to go to andyou will be too. ???????????????????????? Read more

Rude staff. Don?t sit down before you order! They don?t take kindly to that. Didn?t see a sign communicating this, but maybe... I missed it. Reminded me of middle school cafeteria: everyone has to go through the line, and don?t grab a table before you?veordered. Ironically there was no line when we were there. Definitely not packed. We grabbed a table to get our baby settledbefore sending a couple in to order for everyone. I could understand this insistence if we were preventing others who hadalready ordered from sitting, but there was no shortage of tables. I guess after this experience it?s clear to see why. Wishwe had taken our business elsewhere. Food was decent but not worth the harassment. Won?t go back! Read more

The wait staff here was really rude and the food was pretty flavorless. There was no one when we walked in to seat us, (not a... big deal) so we picked a table outside, then the wait staff came over to chide us for where we were sitting outside, and offerno alternative seating options. Then, as we were reviewing the menus on our phone to decide what we wanted and getting afriend?s baby settled at the table, the same rude waiter from before came back to demand that all six in our party (includingthe baby, who was already strapped in to a high chair) go inside to order and couldn?t sit down. We explained that we werereviewing the menu on our phones and one of us was about to go in to place our group order, but he kept arguing and insistingall six of us walk through the restaurant again to place the group order that one person was paying for. There was no signageindicating their rule about where or when to sit. There were a million ways he could have approached this in a much nicer way,but for whatever reason he was really argumentative to my brother-in-law, who was already having a hard week because his dad isin the hospital dying. The food was sub-par, though it came out quickly. There wasn?t much selection on the menu, and thechicken verde tacos clearly had boiled chicken that appeared to be refrigerated or frozen and thawed out, and it was really dry. There was no flavor or seasoning on it whatsoever, not even salt. I?m not an amazing cook but I could have easily made thesetacos at home, where they would have been tastier and no one would have been a jerk to my family, friends and their baby. I?mnot sure if he was having a bad day or what, but I worked at Chick-Fil-A and it?s not hard to be pleasant. The queso was goodbut not worth the bad atmosphere brought on by the guy with the beard who looked like Zach Galifianakis. Not going back, especially with plenty of better options right next door. Went to the restaurant with friends who had a baby. There were no instructions about waiting to be seated or to order before... sitting down. Pushed a couple tables together for our group and were abruptly told we couldn't do that because we unknowinglyblocked an exit. Fair enough. We moved our tables and perused the menu to place an order. The GM came back over looking likea red-headed, sweaty, Zach Galifianakis mfer and very rudely told us all 6 of us had to get back up and go through the line andthat we couldn't just seat ourselves (didn't know, wasn't listed or displayed in the foyer). Not peak hours and there werePLENTY of tables. I kept explaining we had a child with our group and we were trying to get the child settled while looking atthe menu online right at that moment to go place our order. He again tried to say our entire group had to get up and go backinside and I explained that if there was a problem, we would be happy to take our business elsewhere if he was going to be upsetabout us being there, but after some persistence, he walked off. Even if there was an issue he would like to address, there wasan incredible lack of professionalism and courtesy. We caused no disturbance, but were treated terribly. I wouldn't choose togo back. Also the food tasted like Mexico in black and white. Read more

This is a chain restaurant and the food is like fast food taco. I've had tacos at other chain restaurants but it's never been... this bad. I had brisket and fish taco and guacamole with chips as a side dish. None of them was fresh. Guac had gone bad and itwas sour, not from lemon juice, like acidic fermented sour! Brisket was ok but fish wasn't fresh either. Read more

IMO the absolute best Mexican food available in Nashville?the entire menu is fantastic. Service is friendly (wish it was full... table service) for order sit down? didn?t use the term fast casual because the food is way above that! Where else but Nashvilleand the south can you get Turnip Greens as a side in a Mexican establishment perfectly cooked! Enchiladas baby! Read more

The place was on my list for a long time . The food and drinks were real good but it seemed a little too pricey for my liking... . It isn?t a fancy restaurant to be charging 13 dollars for a glass of margarita. They have limited food menu but I believe allof the items are good. Also disappointed in not getting complimentary chips and salsa which is a staple at an authentic Mexicanrestaurant . Its a order your food and pick up a seat kind of a place. The chef?s specials brassa chicken is amazing and theenchiladas are made well. I also got the tilapia and rice dish which was decent as well. Read more

Could not believe so much flavor came from such a simple prep. The fish tacos were surprisingly light for being battered and... were delicious. The carnitas were perfectly moist with a balanced sweet/savory/spicy flavor profile, also delicious. Can't waitto try more. Read more
