This place has such a cute vibe and great location, I really wanted to like it. I heard so many good things about this place,... that I even took my friends visiting from out of town, there. The food smelled so bad - not sure if it was strong fish sauce oruncooked eggs. The service was extremely nice, they let me change my order. But unfortunately the next order also smelled thesame (without any meat or egg second time). I couldn?t even eat one bite there, neither could bring the food home, it was thatbad. I checked out and went to another place for lunch. I didn?t feel like eating anything remotely similar for a week afterthis visit. I've gotten food from here before (I usually get the Cashew Nut with Tofu), but today I tried something different! I got the... Mussaman Curry with Tofu, and I was not disappointed. I confirmed that the curry base was vegan (no dairy/fish sauce), and itwas ready very quickly. This curry is tangier than a lot of others I've tried, and it's a lot thicker, too. I was happy with theamount of food they gave me, although I think the ratio of rice to curry was slightly off. You can sit outside on the second floor with a city skyline view. ThaiEsane?s booth is small, but cute. You can watch them cook your meal right in front of you. ????????????????????????? SERVICE -I did not love the service. The girl who took my order was pretty harsh and very unforgiving in her temperament towards peopleasking questions. It?s possible she was having a bad day, but that was my experience for the 1 time I atethere. ???????????????? FOOD - We ordered the Maylasian Noodles with Chicken added. Honestly, my wife and I both agreed it wasone of the best Thai meals we?d ever had. Spicy, but the perfect amount. The real hero? the noodles. ???????????????? PRICE - it was $13 total for the meal, so for the location seems low. My WTP (willingness to pay) was around $19-$20 price point. ????Overall Thoughts - I would absolutely go back. Worst Thai restaurant I have ever had. Green curry tastes like lime juice and waste of $18. Rice smells like it's been... overcooked and sitting in pot for way too long. Satay chicken extremely dry like it's been sitting in warmer for long hours.Pineapple fried rice just tastes bad with minimal pineapple flavor. Beef salad is like poorly made sour beef stir fry. Anddrunken noodle was ok. For the price this is absolutely disappointing and an embarrassment of Thai cuisines. Pictures look good,but taste is just the worst. Read more
One star because the location is convenient (we?re staying close by) and the inside was clean and nicely decorated. But the food... is like s#it here. Curry noodle was super thick and noodles were over cooked. Didn?t even get any side condiments such ascabbage and cilantro until we asked, and they ran out of cilantro too. Looks nothing like their menu pics. The chicken tapiocanoodle was a joke, we got like 5 strands of hard noodles and the rest was spicy bland pepper water down soup. It?s not a placewhere I can say I had a good meal and would wanna come back. Btw, pics were taken at the beginning when food was served rightout?. Also not to forget that we were the ONLY ones in there and food took 40 mins with NO UPDATES from the server.
