Amazing service. We had the duck gumbo to start which was amazing! Entrées were: fried lobster tail & short ribs. Both... selections were delicious. We finished up with chocolate crème brûlée for dessert with a chocolate martini & amaretto sour. Everything was perfect. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Excellent all the way around. The duck gumbo was hot, and spicy, and filled with nice chunks of duck and made from a dark roux.... The shrimp and grits was excellent, but the fried lobster tail was even more amazing, crispy and well fried on the outside, butthe inside was somehow tender and juicy, quite and accomplishment. Kudos to the chef. There was enough light gravy sauce, andthen truffled mashed potatoes underneath. Steak was also excellently cooked. Also a nicely priced wine list with manyaffordable selections. We didn’t have dessert because we were so full; but it looked good. Abigail was a very accomplishedwaitress, knew everything well, was poised with the wine service, very engaging and nice but also professional and smooth witheverything she did. Read more
Enjoyed our dinner there, great old castle atmosphere... Service was excellent, food was very good. Especially recommend the... fried green tomatoes! My husband was disappointed with his rabbit so I can't recommend that. Breakfast was very good. Would eatthere again. Read more
