Great food great hospitality. I ordered a Ruben and fries ???? the Ruben came so crispy and very flavorful. Fries were crispy... and didn't need any ketchup. The fried zucchini and fried cauliflower. My first time there was a great experience! We got there just as they opened so we got seating pretty much wherever we wanted.... The waitress was very nice and attentive. My standard practice upon trying a new restaurant is to order either spaghetti orroast beef detest the quality of their food. I got the hot roast beef sandwich and french fries and it was excellent! October 2022 and it was my first time ever at this establishment. Very often I have eaten places that were combination bar and... restaurant and then tastes like bar food. Such is not the case with a Saxon Inn! My best friend ever and I used to go to variousrestaurants and test their food by ordering either spaghetti or roast beef. I ordered the roast beef sandwich today with frenchfries and it was truly excellent! The portions were a good size compared to price and the waitress was very attendive. Not sure what happened the night my wife and I went there but it wasn't great. I used to frequent The Saxon years ago. Went for... the first time in years and didn't have a very good experience. Took a while to get a drink order let alone the food. It wasabout 45 minutes for our appetizer which came out after our dinners. The waitress/bartender we had was rather rude and shortwith us. Nothing like any staff member I've ever had there. Not against going back again(always loved the food) but this timespent there definitely didn't hit good. Read more
