It was quite the experience, which is expected from something by José Andrés! The drinks in the cocktail flight, their... preparation, and the service overall makes this unrivaled. There is a very high attention to detail. I highly recommend thegrilled cheese and wagyu tartare. The only complaint is that it can be tough to get reservations due to limited seating andtimings, but not surprised by that. Read more
So there’s a few things. 1) it took about 30 minutes to be served our cocktails 2) I feel this placed is way over hyped. The... drinks were ok - we (me and my friend) each had 3 drinks and each time the drinks were just ok nothing special. 3) food was justok and we pretty much ordered everything on the menu and nothing was worth coming back - but except the key lime piepopsicles. Overal it was decent but over hyped. Service was at least nice. Wouldn’t rush to come back but would definitelyrevisit in the future just wouldn’t rush. Read more
Delightful bar experience! They were kind enough to be able to fit us in without a reservation even when they were fully booked... on a Saturday night (though they turned many folks after us away, so I wouldn't count on getting in that way). Tried six drinksbetween us and they were all excellent. Creative. Balanced. Flavorful. They even gave us a sample of the peanut rum they producein house and it was divine. Had a couple small bites (grilled cheese and wagyu tartare) and they were exceptional too. Wellworth a visit! Read more

Cute and private looking place with only a handful of tables. Great decoration. We got the flight of drinks - amazing... experience. It's 5 drinks per person, and most of them are prepared table side and involve smoke, liquid nitrogen, and othercool ways of making drinks. We also ordered several appetizers. For those of you wondering if the long waitlist and tough-to-get-in reservation system renders this place worth going to or not,... I’m here to tell you it is utterly and absolutely worth the wait. The experience of being at Barmini and having their cocktailflight is unparalleled. From the sophisticated palette displayed in the variety of cocktails to the servers that pay you copiousamount of attention, every little detail is planes to the tee. At times you may feel you are transported to be amidst a labexperiment but the drinks made at your table using liquid Nitrogen are delicious and a spectacle to watch. We also tried thebrioche bun, it absolutely melts in your mouth. Having been to a few other Jose Andrés restaurants in the DC area and alwaysbeing pleasantly surprised with my experiences, this certainly keeps the streak going. We were in DC for the weekend, looking for a place to get drinks before our later dinner reservation. There is a reason barmini... has the reputation it does, and our experience was more than we could have hoped for. The attention to detail was both expectedand impressive - the care and perfection that went into each crafted concoction was amazing. We described to our waiter what ourflavor profiles were and he made us both personalized (and perfect) cocktails. We topped off our before dinner drinks with thebrioche. *Chefs kiss* and that butter…I’d eat a whole loaf. Can’t wait for the chance to come back. Read more
A 13 out of 10 experience. Every moment of this was just perfection. My partner planned a birthday celebration here for the... cocktail flight, and boy was it a fantastic experience. The bar to me was just completely unexpected - to walk into this clean,clinical, bright space was not what I had built up in my mind, and I loved it. On to the drinks - every drink had its ownstory, differing flavor profiles, and unique approach. The flight was interesting and pushed me to taste drinks I would not haveconsidered. We also got a drink prior to the last one on our flight that were specifically suggested to us based on our tasteprofiles and again, hit it out of the park. Really just a wonderful experience. To top it off, the grilled cheese is AMAZING.Must order and perfectly paired with the mustard they provide. All around an amazing experience! Read more
