Restaurant was pretty busy when we arrived. Food was meh in my opinion. The reginette was very seafood-y. The portion was pretty... small for the price - only 3 pieces, but a decent amount of crab meat. I didn't really like the gnocchi as it was slightlybitter and I wasn't not sure why. Also no filling inside the gnocchi. The bread appetizer was pretty normal. Read more

From start to finish, everything was perfect. We were running late, so we called to let them know and the host reassured us that... it would be fine. She greeted us warmly and professionally. Did not rush us; unlike most other restaurants where I have nointeraction with the hostess, I was able to get recommendation from Aylen. She walked us through the menu so by the time theserver came around, we were able to order. Our server was also very attentive and professional. He recommended a red wine forme, which I enjoyed very much. I liked that the portions were small so I could try many more dishes than usual. Every plate wasbeautifully presented and was very fresh. Between the two of us, we had the bread basket, ravioli, squid ink pasta with softshell crab, and the duck. It was very filling and we barely had any room for dessert. Places like this might seem pricey, butfor the experience and taste, it’s definitely worth it. Read more

The environment and service are impeccable, no complain at all. But I think we have been deceived a little by the rave reviews... here on Google Maps about this restaurant. Foods are not up to the mark of price, hype and ambiance. We were very hungry andjet-lagged, probably we did not ordered the "right thing," but a restaurant of this price range should offer perfect mealsthroughout the entire menu, and there shouldn't be any "wrong order." That was not the case here. Read more

We ordered one calamari appetizer and two pastas. The food was okay, but with this price I expected more generous portions or... better taste. The big disappointment was that the bread was not complimentary (at an Italian restaurant!) They tasted good, butit’s very surprising to me that they are not free, and the waiter did not mention this at all. Read more

Nestled next to Hermes and Louis Vuitton, Centrolina, is in one of best central locations in Washington DC. The food is just as... in Italy, tasty, fresh and with a modern twist. The fried mix was amazing, very light and fresh. The pappardelle were out ofthis world. But what really made the night was the best panna cotta ever!!! Read more

As a general rule, D.C.'s City Center is low on great food, BUT if there's one place you should visit it's Centrolina. It's an... Italian restaurant open for lunch and dinner with a market. After meeting a friend for a Friday lunch, here's my experience: 1)Food: The restaurant sources local ingredients. (There's a list of where on the back of the menu.) My friend and I split asalad, bread basket and both had the tagliolini with a fried egg on top. Each dish was well prepared and worth the money. Thebread basket comes with thin bread sticks, white bread and cheese focaccia. 2) Drinks: We each had two glasses of refreshingprosecco. They have a full wine list too! 3) Service: It's a it more fancy so the service is on point and very polite. Ourserver also did a great job of upselling us. Originally, my friend ordered a salad and I the bread basket. He convinced us tosplit both adding to our bill's total. He also suggested prosecco, which wasn't on our radar. 4) Space: It's simple elegantwith minimalist design, but striking. With big windows, the light pours into the space. Two uni-sex bathrooms are in the backnear a private room for group dining. A bar is in the center of the restaurant. 5) Price: The only complaint is the pricepoint, but that's to be expected in City Center. Splitting bread, a salad and each ordering two glasses of prosecco and thetagliolini, our bill was $180+ with a 20% tip. Read more

I did not have a reservation And they were still able to sit me at the bar. The wine was good!! The Tuna Carpaccio I had was... so good I went on for a taste and ate it all before I took photos(sorry). Everyone around me seemed to enjoy their food. Icould hear them all complimenting the food.
