The food was okay. At least the two dishes we had. Severely overpriced. Your paying for the ambiance and location and tourist... trap. I would never eat here again. Nearly 70$ for paella and 30$ for 5 tiny shrimps with croutons gambas. A true Spanishperson would most likely smack Del Mar in the face for his disgraceful food. Absolutely stunning place. Great service. Top tier experience. Everything was a ten. The Seafood Paella is delicious. Highly... recommend that dish. It comes in different sizes for sharing. It was my bday so they brought out gratis champagne and thischeesecake that was literally the one of the most delicious desserts to grace the planet. Don’t even get me started on thechurros! Amazing! I also did come in with a VIP who goes there regularly so that surely may have enhanced the experience to 10stars!! Read more
It's a bit pricy, but the food and service are worth the penny you spent! I love how the chef perfectly blends flavors together... (like pepper+crab+uni sauce). The Sangria Roja cocktail is also a highlight, mixing the richness of wine and the sweet/sourtouch of fruits/flowers - one of the best cocktails I've had in a while! I was truly impressed with this dining experience. We flew to DC for my birthday week and had my birthday dinner here. Luis... served us and he was definitely one of the best servers we have ever had wait on us (and we are huge foodies so that is sayingsomething). He was so attentive and just knew exactly how to guide the dining experience based on what the guests is wanting outof their night whether they know specifically or not. We let him take the wheel with all of the knowledgeable recommendationsand we were so happy from start to finish. We came back for our last meal in DC and again, Amber served us, and again we werenot disappointed. She was so sweet and also had wonderful recommendations and made sure all of our needs were met before we saidgoodbye and hopped on a flight. Luckily Luis was also there and he remembered us which made us happy because he was also somemorable for us. He was so nice and sent us our new favorite drink that he enlightened us to - the carajillo. I don’t thinkyou could go wrong with a single thing on this menu. This was my first time going to Del Mar and the food was phenomenal! We went as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. It was my... first time trying octopus and it was really good. The parking in the garage was $45 since I stay for 4+ hours which was adownside for the night so it might be better to find street parking. Read more
Food was AMAZING! This should get. Michelin Star. There paella is the best I have had. I want to say there paella and cheesecake... is similar to José Andre. Service was excellent and our waiter reminded us of actor John Mulaney. I def recommend this placeand def Michelin Star worthy. Read more
I rented an igloo and I took my family here for my Mother's birthday and my experience was incredible. The bubbles aka the... igloos are nice and incredibly warm. The service is five stars absolutely fantastic, the waiter was nice and patient explainingthe family style ordering style. The whole restaurant is extremely nice and well decorated it's like a huge mansion. Lastly thisis not a cheap restaurant by any means, but the experience is worth it. Read more
We really enjoyed our food here, but for the price we paid we felt a bit underwhelmed with the serving sizes. We were... recommended by the waiter ~ 2 appetizers in addition to the main course per person. That quickly adds up. No doubt you'll enjoythe food but keep in mind going in to expect fancy serving sizes and fancy prices. Read more
