Horrible service and food! We wanted to support a local business and this place was open before 9am so we stopped in. There was... a line when we arrived, but it moved quickly. We only stopped in here because it was the first place we saw OPEN and we wantedcoffee and a quick bite for breakfast. Unfortunately my Deluxe breakfast croissant was never placed and after waiting 20minutes I walked up to the counter and it was confirmed my order ( name was not written on a paper bag) , so the staff made meone for me after finishing several more orders. The Deluxe is a turkey sausage with American cheese warmed up in a special ovenfor 60 seconds. By the time I got my Deluxe, some parts were ice chilled cold and other parts too hot! It was cooked unevenly.McDonald's breakfast sandwich is consistantly better than this Deluxe. My husband and I ordered coffees and I asked to makeroom for cream, but there was no cream so I had to go back to the counter to ask for cream, but the cup was quite full, so thelittle amount of cream spilled over and it was messy bringing the cup back to our table. The staff did not seem to have a gripon the orders. We paid for the Deluxe, but the guy did not write my name on a paper bag so the staff never knew about my Deluxeuntil I complained about it 20 minutes later. The staff needs better training. Had I known Starbucks was just down the block,we would of stopped there. The quality here for food and coffee was the worst! I will never ever come here again. Read more
What an upgrade from the Starbucks that used to be here! The iced lattes are delicious, second only to Blue Bottle IMHO and... available with any milk you choose. Many vegan options including delicious breakfast sandwiches and vegan burrito. For old DChands, this is where dc space art/nightclub used to be. Saw many great shows there. Read more
They have very nice coffee here and a very good chai latte, although it is on the pricey side in my opinion. I am happy that... they use compostable straws as well, but did not see any recycling bins for their other recyclable items (which would be good tohave). Nice place overall, very modern look inside, and nice decor. Read more
Absolutely delicious beverage recommended by the barista. Food was tasty and creative, add that to some cozy chairs and this... was nice venue to pop into on a cold day while downtown. I also appreciate the fun names for the different types of coffeebeans they have on hand. Read more
Basic black drip coffee & the Egg-cup? only one other gluten free option was a banana muffin. (I?m not a banana fan.). The... coffee was good, the egg cups; order comes with two, we?re excellent! I was waiting for 50 minutes for someone on a rainyVeterans Day. I met lovely people. Had a fabulous experience. The staff was efficient and friendly, even when a tourist?ssmall child spilled an entire large hot coffee. Note to management: only four stars because you need more gluten free items,and new staff behind the counter did not know all of the gluten free options. I look forward to coming back. Read more
