BEST Ethiopian food in DC. Hands down. Simple, simple restaurant but the food is amazing.
I ordered dine in they put it in Aluminium foil.I told them to change it they refused. Am so disappointed I?ll never go back... again. Even the food it doesn?t test like it used to be and the customer service works in front had bad attitude, the kitchenguy was very polite?. Read more
First learned about this place last year with a random google search when I moved into the area. Not only do you get large... quantities of food, but the prices are a steal. Absolutely unbeatable compared to other Ethiopian restaurants in the area. Thefood quality for me has also been consistently excellent. This might not be the place for you if you?re looking for somethingmore formal and customer service oriented. For that, I might recommend Letena in Columbia Heights. But Habesha Market is perfectif you?re someone like me who just wants to order online and grab a quick takeout after university/work/sports or whatever else.Keep up the good work my friends! Excellent Ethiopian food! Honestly, one of the best I've tasted so far. I am still thinking about it! This place would get 5... stars but I took 1 star away because of the loose covid protocols in place. The tables for indoor seating were dirty and notcleaned. Mask mandated for customers were optional (none of the customers except me and my friend wore a mask) and those makingthe food, one guy did not wear a mask and other wore it below the nose. We have eaten Ethiopian food all around the country. This is #13 we have tried. I think this one it the best overall of the... places sofar. A couple of the other places had a dish that was amazing but this place had very consistently well above averagefood with basically every dish. I definitely would recommend going. As usual, the best eats you can possibly find in the city. If you are a carnivore, don't go anywhere else but here. The food... tastes marvelous.I have tried just about every Ethiopian restaurant in the DC metro area. Amazingly this tops them all. I can'tsay much about there vegan dish but if you look at the pictures I took off the meat selection, it's really out of this world. Read more
Simply delicious and good value. Friendly service with plenty of Ethiopians eating here (actually 90% I'd say). Open view... kitchen in a cosy environment. The wife loved it so much she ordered a second dinner! Would be back if I lived here. Read more
