Outstanding Italian food in a very, very (for real) big restaurant. Make sure you book to avoid long lines, the place is always... full! We order lasagna, and it was awesome! Maybe one more pasta layer for perfection, but it had a lot of good cheese and alsomeat inside, so no complaints! We also had the diavola pizza, a must try! Spicy and balanced, with a super dough (they’refamous for it). Good service as well, always on top of everything. A must try if you are in Washington DC! Read more
Came because of all the raving reviews and seeing that il Canale made yelps top 40 list of restaurants to try. I got the famous... lobster ravioli. It was good but I don't see the hype and also find other Italian restaurants in Georgetown to be better. It wasstill a good experience. We also tried their cannoli for dessert which was good. Stopped in here for a quick lunch after walking around Georgetown and it did not disappoint. Since it's a pizza place, I ordered... their mushroom Pizza with white sauce as I'm not a big fan of tomota. Pizza came out quick, it's sharable but if you're hungryyou can eat an entire one. I'd have to rate it a 8/10 because the white sauce didn't really have much flavor and I know it'sthin crust but it was a bit too soggy, I had to use a fork to help pick it up. I'll try the pasta next time, heard it was good.I'd go again so definitely give it a try if you're close by. Read more
One of a kind and the staff were great. I was the photographer for a Yelp event and the food was great from what I was told. Not... one person had a negative experience and for those who visit this location before had a great experience. Authentic andunfiltered tradition that I would say yes I will visit on my personal time and enjoy. It is also a beautiful space. Parking isnot the best but a nice neighborhood for the time I was there as in the view at the canal. Read more
The most amazing Italian restaurant hands down! As someone whose visited Italy this restaurant made me feel like I was there and... the food was astonishing. The food is so authentic and tastes very fresh. The gnocchi was so soft and made to perfection! Thepizza was truly napoleon and was amazing as well. For dessert we got the cannolis of course which I’d recommend for a sweettooth!! Read more
Can’t beat this local spot. Quality Italian food, nice ambiance, and above all, the service is always super friendly and... attentive. They are also great for large groups, such as business dinners. I’ve enjoyed a pre-fixed menu there before andthere was plenty of food to go around per person. There often is a line at peak hours so highly recommend making a reservationonline. Read more
We found this gem ???? by accident. Didn’t realize it was a local staple and were visited by all kinds of celebrities. Our the... food we got were amazing!! Their pizza is paper thin and the crust has a chewy meaty flavor. Highly highly recommended! Read more
Everything was delightful! From the service to the food. Got the lasagna, a pizza, and lobster ravioli. Lasagna was came in a... cute bowl, delicious crispy cheese on the edges and meat sauce that was perfectly seasoned. Pizza crust was perfectly chewy andnot oily at all. Lobster ravioli was excellent as well, not heavy and jam packed with lobster. Definitely book ahead for areservation! Food was also flying out of the kitchen.
