Our time here was pretty good. We enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance. Furthermore, the server and host was really nice and... lovely. I had the gumbo which had an okay flavor. Visually wasn’t very nice in my opinion. My friend had the heritage bowlwhich she did not enjoy. The spinach was a bit waxy or not washed well. And the Jamaican-Indian mix didn’t meld very well inour opinion. Had a strange taste. Also visually very unpleasant. The flan’s flavor was a bit too alcoholic (cognac?). Itwasn’t very sweet which I liked. But overall flavor was not good. On the bill there was an automatic 4% wellness charge plus20% tip being the lowest option. For us, the fees got a bit too much. Overall the portions were a bit small and we left hungrywhile spending almost $90 on 2 entrees, a small appetizer, 1 drink and 1 dessert. Read more

Decided to stop here before going to the Renwick Gallery and was pleasantly surprised. We split a pitcher of the red sangria and... got the truffle fries as an appetizer. I feel like truffle fries are becoming a “buzz food” that every restaurant places ontheir menu…but these were amazing! I ended up going with the Havana sandwich and was extremely happy with my choice. I was alittle surprised with the addition of pineapple to the sandwich but it was a nice added touch. I enjoyed an Old Saigon sandwich with fries and an apple cider. All delicious and fresh. The service was really friendly and... happy. The decoration of the interior is warm and welcoming. FRESH, NUTRITIOUS AND DELICIOUS! I was there for the first time yesterday (June 25, 2022) and ordered the West African Gumbo... Bowl. Came for brunch and was astounded by the flavors of the food and the variety of options. Highly recommend their Cafe Crema... which is the best latte I've ever had. They are also known for their Havana sandwich which uses 3 types of pork and is to diefor. Read more

First Place on my visit to Washington DC, and it was AMAZING. The FOOD and the ATTENTION was incredibly good! I'm definitely... want to come back! Unassuming on the outside but awesomeness on the inside. Loved it here. Great atmosphere and loved the brunch menu options. We... came for Easter brunch and we weren't disappointed. Shareable's: Belgium Truffle fries-yumm! Generous serving! We didn't orderit but just decided to keep it. I think we confused the server. Pan de Guava y Brie-tasty, felt like dessert... just the rightamount of sweetness. Mezzo trio- flavorful... gotta love a place that gives you enough bread to go with it. Entrees: Old Saigonsandwich-filling and flavorful Shakshuka & Matzo-loved it! Mmm matzos made it even better! Croque madam-flavorful butmessy. Service was excellent. They were friendly and attentive. I'm short so the seats didn't bother me. Someone taller mayprefer the seating outside unless you like low stools. They do have some high bar seats... so plan ahead and request. Read more
