Admittedly I only tried the dipping noodles so I may have given a higher rating if I had another dish. As many people have said... the broth is very delicious, they do that extremely well. It?s just that the noodles even with the broth tasted good, but notgreat to me and I was expecting more flavor for a $20 dish. The echigo beer was excellent Read more

First time visiting: The service and food were amazing. Definitely recommend the Karaage (Japanese fried chicken)! It's crispy,... super tender and juicy; has really good flavor. We ordered the weekly special with the fat noodo & triple threat which weregood as well. Tonkotsu has a clean flavoring to it and thr triple threat is more on the flavorful side. The onsen eggs aredelicious and perfectly vicious in the middle . Highly recommend if you're looking for a good ramen place off the beaten path ina quiet neighborhood that's not central dc. tl;dr: I love this place! They are very active with their community and the best ramen in DC hands down. Karaage - 5/5: *DINE... IN ONLY* Perfectly crispy, with a delicious mayo sauce. Truffle Shoyu - 4/5: Very yummy shoyu broth with a bold truffle oilflavor. Pork belly is perfectly grilled on one side, but not the other =(. Noodles cooked perfectly, taste freshly made. TripleThreat - 5/5: Best Tonkatsu broth in DC. The broth is thick enough that it coats the noodles! What makes it a triple threat isthat the broth is a chicken, pork, and dashi broth. Vibes - 5/5: It feels like I'm back in Japan at a local ramen shop in theheart of Japan. They do a really good job at providing an authentic experience. Read more

I was so excited to try this resturant after waiting on the list for 1.5 hours! I can definitely tell you it was worth it. We... started off with the chicken karaage with the Yuzu Mayo. The texture was so crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Ithoroughly enjoyed it and saved some for my Ramen as well! I ordered the Sunset Shoyu and the broth was just so flavorful! Ifinished the entire serving in one time because it did not disappoint. My sister order the Truffle Shoyu and My God! What aunique flavor! She found it a little bland to her taste but the broth was richly flavored. I have been trying to get into thisplace for a year now and I am so glad I got a chance. They have a selective menu (however, accommodating to vegans) but thetaste and quality is TOP Notch! Please get on the waitlist (online) and try this spot! Highly recommended! Edit: You can alsoorder takeout if seating is unavailable. Read more

I really enjoyed the ramen - you can tell they homemade the broth from scratch and you can really taste all the umami flavor... released from bones after getting boiled for long hours. There were not many options on the menu but they really specialized inmaking each single one of the ramen on the menu. We got the triple treat and spicy tonkotsu, and the broth was delicious andrich, but not greasy. My bf literally finished all the broth for the tonkotsu. The chicken karaage was also very juicy andwell-seasoned, paired well with their yuzu mayo. Read more

Saw that this place was on the new Michelin DC Guide so we had to check it out. First of all this is probably one of the best... ramens in the US let alone DC/MD/VA. The broth is very creamy and rich, the chashu had an amazing smokiness to it, and thenoodles were my favorite thin rather than too thick. Service was great, just know like in Japan, it's a place to eat and leaveas they only have a 1hr dining limit which is more than enough to eat and digest. The only downside is the location and tryingto find parking. Other than that one of my favorite ramens in the US and can contend with ramen I've had in Japan. Read more

Definitely a top ramen spot in the city. Incredibly flavorful broths with super delicious meat preparation in every bowl. You... can watch them hand make all the noodles and their efforts definitely pay off. Doesn?t seem like you can really go wrong withanything on the menu which is kept simple but really well executed. This place is small but constantly packed and does not takereservations as far as I know. Just a virtual waitlist on Yelp. Read more
