This is not the same Roti as before the pandemic, at all. To be clear, this rating is more about systemic changes than a... reflection on this location specifically; it was clean, COVID protocol conscious, and staff was friendly and patient. But assomeone who went to Roti 1-2x a week pre-pandemic, I was completely lost. The menu now prioritizes preplanned options vs buildyour own bowls and the new menu reflects this; it was near impossible to come up with something approximating what I used toget. Different rice, and had 3 different types of slaw for sides but no couscous or tomato based anything. No labels on any ofthe sides either, making it difficult to figure out what I wanted. And I was blown away by the price - what used to cost $10-11in February 2020 is now over $17 in February 2022. It seemed like the bowls were definitely smaller than before too. Definitelyde-prioritizing Roti for future lunch plans, which is a shame. Read more
Good food and nice personnel, BUT poor environmental concern: - unnecessary and unrequested single-use plastic covers on every... plate even for in-store consumption - only single-use plastic cutlery and cups while they could easily be metal/hard plasticreusable, just like in more conscious restaurants - water in plastic bottles only - no environmental policy visible anywhere inthe premises Running a business just in order to make money without considering the environmental needs is not an optionanymore. I would give 5 start for their food quality but 1 star for the quantity. I think their price went up recently but at the same... time the portion went down. They now have a smaller bowel too. I ate lunch there but left still hungry, half full. Their platesare the size of side dishes at other restaurants. Very little portion and small bowels. I hope they will change it and startdishing more food so that I will go back for lunches and dinner sometimes. I love their food but portion is very little. My roommate and I grabbed lunch here for the first time yesterday and I enjoyed it so much, I came back today to try something... different! Everything is so tasty and fresh. It may not look like very much food, but it's super filling! This will definitelybe one of my regular lunch spots! Read more
I had rice, falafel and salads. Big portion for me, bring home leftover and ate for breakfast. Still ok :) Will come again <3
