Cool atmosphere but their idea of Mofongo is definitely not what I'm accustomed to and I'm a Jersey girl that was raised with... Boriquas. I don't know if different parts of the island prepare it other ways but this way is not for me. Had fatty / bone inchicken thigh, not shredded and stuffed inside of mashed plantains w/ that delicious gravy on top Smh. I was verydisappointed. $$ Read more
????Ridiculously awesome fried chicken???? Wow! Like Mom used to make for the Fourth of July ????????. Crispy + crunchy on the... outside. Moist + meaty on the inside. Louisiana style is spicy and just so right. The collard greens and biscuits are perfectlycooked, perfectly seasoned, and oh, so tasty. And,the naughty fried pickles? Who could possibly resist them? What a place! The food and service were both awesome, it's a great stop to make before a concert at the 9:30 Club around the... corner. The ice cream tacos were so good I would have gladly just had them by themselves instead of a meal. Read more
Good was ????????. We got the Half Bird with 2 sides the Mac and cheese was delicious as well as the biscuit basket. The barria... quesadilla was Sooo good!!! All around pretty amazing food at a cheap price for DC. Loved the smash burger! It came with a great sauce, really well cooked... bacon and cooked medium. Waffles fries did not disappoint at all and weren’t too greasy. Ain’t Nothing to Cluck With Chickensandwich was super flavorful. I didn’t love the drunken Mac and cheese or the taste of the Orange Moon cocktail but theydidn’t take much away from what was an amazing meal. Read more
We LOVED Roy Boys! We came before a show at the 930 club which is right around the corner, so it is an excellent location. We... enjoyed their hot chicken tenders, Orúña cocktails, waffle fries, crab dip, and biscuit basket. We ordered way too muchbecause the portions were pretty generous. We indulged in their happy hour pricing too which is so reasonable considering theawesome location!! The decor is so hip and fun. I can’t wait to come back!! Read more
