OMG - everything was amazing. I think we ordered the entire menu and everything was great! EVERYTHING. The wait was an hour... long, so we sat at the bar for immediate dining. The experience was no different. The bartenders were attentive and fabulous,the food was deliver quickly, and everything taste excellent. Plus, I’ve been looking for a fondue like the one I used to getin Texas, and this place has it. We will be back! Read more
We celebrate my cousins birthday dinner here and we have no regrets. Our server Portia was sooo great. The food was great and... the vibe was excellent and service was phenomenal. Highly recommend this place. It’s a bit pricey but worth the money. It youstill have room after your entree, I highly recommend the pineapple upside down cake! It’s the best one I’ve had to date! Great experience at the grill. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. The view was beautiful and relaxing. Our... waiter was patient and kind. The drinks were a 4/10 could’ve been made better, oyster sauces were definitely different &paired perfectly. Their plant base burger was so delicious omg the best I ever had. We also had calamari 7/10, devil eggs 8/10,ribs 7.5/10 & sweet potatoes 9/10. Also a 20% gratitude is included in the bill. Read more
This was my wife and I first time here. The atmospheres was very romantic for a date night. Our server Bergin. B was attentive,... professional and very knowledgeable. The steak was very juicy and very tender. Good cocktails. We enjoyed the restaurant. WeWould definitely comeback. Read more
We've passed through a few times without reservations trying to get a table without luck. We made a reservation on what... happened to be a very rainy night so the restaurant wasn't packed this night. You have to go in knowing that all of therestaurants at The Wharf are expensive and overpriced, based on the location, the transient crowd and likely their rent, and TheGrill is no exception. Cocktails are inventive, tasty and expensive, $13 - $17 each for what we ordered. We ordered the MixedGrill special, which the whole table is required to order, at $65/each. This gets you an appetizer sampler platter (best food ofthe night), small salad, entree of ribeye, crab cake (advertised as lump), grilled shrimp and one side per 2 people to share,and dessert - choice of chocolate cake and pineapple - we got both (with a table of 4). We got the green beans and loaded bakedpotato. We asked for some bread and received some sliced toasted (on the grill) bread and soft butter (added $4 or $6 to thebill). The serving size for this meal was plentiful, steak was tasty. The crab cake and shrimp were both a bit cold, and thecrab cake was not lump and not very typically MD-style that you would expect. The shrimp was tasteless. Dessert cake sliceswere large and good, but not specifically memorable. Service was really good, friendly and efficient waiter, good staffclearing tables, etc. Be careful though, because a 20% gratuity is added to the check without any advance communication aboutit. The credit card receipt includes a "suggested additional tip" chart, but if you are already adding 20% without telling me,that's all you're getting. We were at $230+ per couple for this meal, which at half the price would have been great, but atthis price, one and done visit for us. Read more
What a wonderful surprise ????! The location is great, the food was good, and the service was excellent. The restrooms were... very clean! You can choose to eat by the water or inside. You must have a reservation I believe. The reason for the 4 ???? s isbecause I was brought vegan options instead of being handed a menu to choose options. After, I explained my concern, the servicewas excellent! I would definitely attend again. ???? FYI: Ride the metro, bus, uber, or a scooter because parking is horrible. Read more
There was a bit of a wait so if you plan on going here I would call ahead of time. The atmosphere is really intimate and relaxed... with dim lighting. perfect for a date. They have a great menu selection. My date and I ordered their meal for two to split whichincluded 5 courses; bread with soup, a salad, an appetizer sampler, a dinner plate and desert. The muscles were amazing in thewine sauce they had! And all of the food I tried was excellent. I didn’t much care for the candied bacon or the food that haddates in it. Read more
We had a very good experience. We got the mussels which were delicious, we just needed more bread. There was a lot of empty... shells which was disappointing but the sauce was fantastic. I got the Sea Bass and it was absolutely delicious. Highlyrecommend. The dishes I wasn’t impressed by was the Tuna Crudo and the crab cake! Being a DC restaurant by the wharf, crabcake needs to be up to par with what everyone raves about and they were short. It says lump crab cake but it is not. I wouldhighly recommend the restaurant take a look at their crab cake recipe because that is stopping them from getting 5 stars. Thesweet potato side was tasty and my husband loved his burger and fries. Overall I’d go back. Read more
