Nice cozy spot in DC if you want to try something different. I ordered the corn beef hash, chicken and waffles, and fries. This... is like a founding farmers meets busboys and poets type of a spot. It's got great simple flavor to their meals. The brunch isaffordable and flavorful with a lot of good options to choose from. Portion sizes are good. Read more

Overall the food was very good and the outside dining area was great for a Sunday brunch in September. Service was very... attentive and the food came fairly quickly. I had the chicken and waffles, a side of fries and a few mimosas. The highlightwas definitely the fried chicken though. It was perfectly fried, flavorful and crispy. The fries were a close second andalthough I don't particularly care for cornbread batter waffles, they also we're good and paired well with the chicken. Mimosaswere excellent!!!! Overall a very enjoyable experience as used expect from a place as this in brunch capitol, Washington DC. Read more

Definitely a must go brunch place in the city. Pros: spacious and lively. Food is delicious and have decent options on the... menu. Variety and interesting take on the drinks. Avocado toast, Lebanese rice, buttermilk pancake, bad girl (drink), cloud 9(drink) are some of my favourites items from the menu. Cons: hard to find parking around. Service is a bit slow. This place has been on my list since I moved to the area and it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is bright and cheery. We... ordered the fried chicken, salmon and the duck. Our server was great and all the food came out promptly. The fried chicken wasdelicious, crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. It came with a side of gravy (just a little too salty) and a biscuit.I felt like the duck was goo, comes with a side of bao buns and hoisin sauce, but missing a little something. Salmon was verygood too. Overall, the food was good and I would come back to try their brunch menu. Read more

Almost perfect. Great service, fantastic food. The sunny egg dessert is whimsical, light and very tasty. Fried chicken and gravy... are great - super crispy but the breading is a little too salty. The biscuit is the love child of a biscuit and a croissant - anoriginal for me. Dirty Caesar - wow!! The smoked tomatoes made this dish a standout and the falafels had amazing flavour. Wouldhighly recommend for a fun experience. Oh and try the pot pie poppers. Read more

Went to Unconventional Diner for both brunch and dinner and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint at all. Brunch: Got three... different items to share for brunch, and each was unique in its own way but complimented each other so well. The shrimp andgrits were perfect. The BBQ shrimp had an amazing smokey smell which really made it stand out. The biscuits were also amazing, nice and crispy and the house made sausage was great. The blueberry pancakes were the fluffiest I’ve ever had, a great sweettreat to end the meal. Dinner: Came back for dinner a week later and it blew me out of the water again. As the name suggests, the menu has a large variety and when the waiter tells you you can’t go wrong with anything, they ain’t lying. We got such avariety of food - from French to southern, Chinese stir fry to Cuban. It just all works so well. Bottom line: A must visit ifyou are in DC. The best wait staff and service. But remember to book ahead! Read more

Went out to dinner with my family and a friend from school. Great food! I really enjoyed the mezze and the Mac n cheese. Speedy... service and great labeling on the menu for those with dietary restrictions. I wish that the outdoor seating area had heaters butnow that the weather is getting warmer that may be less of an issue Read more

Was in town to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival. We made a point to stop in for some brunch before walking all over town.... We were definitely not disappointed. Everything we tried was delicious! From the drinks, to the Everything Lox, and Chicken andWaffles....every bite was amazing. We will be back for more on our next trip! Read more
