We happened across this special little ice cream shop while wandering around the main street of town on vacation, just because... it was between one place and another. Peeked in the window and was promptly and enthusiastically invited inside on this hot day.What a happy surprise! I\'m sad it\'s so far from home because it\'s my new favorite ice cream stop! I can?t say enough about this place. My husband and I were driving through Navasota on a road trip and saw Martin standing out... front in his ice cream hat and apron and my husband slammed on the brakes. We knew this place would be epic. And it WAS! Martinwas a joy and we talked to him for a long time about how he?s been an ice cream man for almost 50 years. He absolutely loves hisjob and it shows. You can?t find places like this anymore. While living in New York, he was a Good Humor ice cream man, but nowthat he?s in Texas he of course sells the best- BLUE BELL! He?s got like 50 flavors and the best sundaes and milkshakes too.We?ve now been able to bring our kids and they truly believe Mr Martin hung the moon ?? we live almost an hour away but wantMartin?s Sweet Shop to be a regular treat for our family.
