We finally got to visit Mersin Restaurant in Tatamy, PA tonight! The experience passed my Turkish husband's taste test with... flying colors. The very clean restaurant has two areas for dine-in seating. They also prepare take out orders. Although wewent in causal style, the Mersin Restaurant would be fine for a fancy occasion, too. Color coordinated ceramic plates and pretty water glasses add finesse to the Restaurant, as does the simple yet pretty wall decorations. Several key dinners areprepared at Mersin for your delight! They serve Halal meats making us more comfortable to enjoy our meals. I noticed threeworkers there on a Thursday night. We enjoyed the "cigar" rolls: thin dough wrapped around cheese and fried as anappetizer. We ordered two meals and shared them between us. Husband had the "Alexander" platter: slices of gyro meat withtomato sauce and yogurt sauce over pieces of pide bread and the meat slices. I had the Adana Platter: slices of gyro meat, whiterice, a lettuce type salad with a veggie salad next to it. Bread was served with the meal. We shared the tasty meals and leftwith full bellies, where we should have brought some of the ample servings home with us! The dessert menu have several Turkishchoices, with the Baklava catching my eye! Prices are comparable to other restaurants with sit down seating good food and goodservice. The Tabouli was great. The Calamari was yummy. The rest was ok. The service started good, but later I had to wait for a refill... of tea. We were also told no substitution for a side even though the price was exactly the same. On the fence about going again,might give it another try in a few months. Read more

Wife and I stopped in for lunch. We each had the Chicken Gyro and it was huge. It was delicious and something I will order... again. The restaurant has plenty of parking and lots of seating. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable on menu items. Thechef offers so many selections that you need to study the menu. Our food was delicious and we will be going back soon. We had spinach pie & Falafel plate as appetizers. Huge! We then split Manti ( Turkish dumplings). Everything quite tasty.... Atmosphere is small but quaint. The food was fresh and delicious very authentic flavor large portions so you definitely will leave full. Our waitress/server was... friendly kind and attentive knowledgeable about the meals. Parking lot is very small so get there early. It's quaint littleplace for quiet get together with friends or family. They don't serve alcohol so if you looking to have a drink with your mealafter work you'll have to do that elsewhere.
